Masculinity and Homosexuality

Are the two things strongly linked?

Are the most masculine of men prone to homosexual tendancies?

The reason I ask this is if you read sources from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, even Ancient Japan show homosexuality was a regular occurrence.

It is argued that many Warriors, the strongest, mentally robust men were often delving into the realms of homoerotic and homosexuality.

Greco-Roman mythology has many tales of homosexuality. Nearly all Greek Gods have said to have engaged in homosexual activity, Zues, Heracles, Gods who embody masculinity and all the characteristics that make a man, a man.

Even in Norse, Chinese, Shinto mythology, homosexuality is a common theme.

The reason I raised this thread is because men on this forum are always encouraging masculinity, and Alphaness, yet history shows that deeply masculine males are all too often homosexual in some form or another.

The goal on this forum is to pretend to be Alpha, (since most aren´t),so homossexuality wouldn´t be a problem.
There could be a link, high levels of testosterone result in very high sex drive, so they could fvck each other just because they were super horny.... a little bit like men in prison...

Homosexuality is natural. The fact that a homosexual union cannot produce offspring is vital to the balance of our ecosystem. The way people and animals fvck, the planet would not be able to sustain itself if it was overrun with life. It is a control measure. Just look at the impact the human overpopulation alone has had on the planet. We should be thanking the homosexuals instead of hating them. At least they're not contributing to the mess. Yeah, more people, that's the solution.

And why hate them anyway? What harm are they causing to us heterosexuals? This is what I don't get. Any man who feels threatened by the existence of people who are different, whether by sexual orientation, race, gender or whatever, needs to take a good look at himself. But to respond to Fortunate Son, I don't believe that being masculine makes you more homosexual. I do believe there are very masculine gay men, but their masculinity has nothing to do with it. There are very feminine lesbians, why can't there be masculine gay men?

A guy guy can have the freedom and rights as any man. I am around plenty of gays, as long as they can joke about it i can get along with them. It's no feasable to not get along with them in normal circumstances.

But as far as i am concerned, homosexuality is an clinical abnormality, whether congenital or environmental. Under no circumstance can it be considered 'normal'. You dont consider a disability normal and encourage that people may become disabled if they wish. You would encourage your child to grow healthy and without a disability. Protect him from things that risk gaining a disability, give him an environment safe from injury.

I think it is much more environmental than congenital. A study needs to be done comparing the rates of homosexuality between countries like UK and USA and countries where men are still masculine. The environment that you place people in is important, the thinking that you are regurgitating is the reason for the difference between UK and USA and normal societies.

My real problem is the de-masculinisation of men. Something which you are unawaredly leading to.

I agree that its "possible" that homosexuality is less common in what you refer to "more masculine countries" (do you mean countries with death penalty for being gay? however could it be that more men with homosexual genetics in these countries remain in their closet for the rest of their life, get married and have kids ? which is a horrible thing imo.

Personaly I have a few gay friends, I dont have a single problem with their orientation, why would I ? Rationality tells me that its good that these men exist, as there is less competition for ME.
