So Im now performing a new type of training (for my record) which consists of lower than usual weights (about 20-25% less than usual) performed very slowly about 3 secs up and 3 secs down.

Rest time 50 secs.

Needless to say it burns like hell and even moderate weight are damn heavy in the end, pump is great so is pain.

What do you think?

Goal is hypertrophy and muscle hardness.

I haven't tested this in the gym, so I can't remark on the low weight, slow reps. I do, however, do drop sets and failure to burn out sets, which make me feel exhausted. In general, I do think it's good practice for contraction of the muscle to go slow for better form and isolation of the muscle.

Let us know how it goes with that strategy.
