Anyone here have a pair of lifting shoes? I'm thinking about buying some. I've heard they give you a much more stable base while squatting, deadlifting, etc. Right now I wear Nike cross trainers and I feel I could have a little more stable base.

Also I've heard Converse All Stars are great cheap lifting shoes, is that true?

Anything flat and stable. I wear Converse Chuck Taylors for lifting, and nike free's for running or biking.

Read this Kerpal: Lifting Shoes

I wear converse all stars. They are great for squat/deadlifts.

For olympic lifts weightlifting shoes are a better choice (but also more expensive).

I wear skater shoes, currently World Industries. They're wider than Chuck's, and not as emo.
