Leather Couch/Futon?

I am making a list of all the things I want in room next year (I'm in college) and one of the things I really want to have is a leather couch or futon. Does anyone know how much this will cost?

I know It will be expensive, does anyone know where I can get one cheap?

Go with the futon it's more utilitarian. Check out TARGET. They have some decent stuff for decent prices.

I already have a futon, but I'm living in my fraternity next year, and it has built-in lofts that the futon can't fit under. That's why I'm going for a leather love seat.

A fraternity? I say don't spend a dime. I can't imagine living with a bunch of male slobs. I can't imagine the caliber of girl who would want such a guy either. I say either move in with your folks, or save that couch money and get a real place where real people live.

leather couch or futon? Man, you spoiled. I used phone books I collected around the apartments to make my sofa.

sparky, whatever you have in your mind about fraternities, think again. Yes, the majority of them aren't any good, but the one I am in is above and beyond the typical "frat". Don't make assumptions. Some of the best people I have ever met are in this fraternity.

i remember sitting on milk crates in a frat house before.
the lofts just had mattresses laying on top of them. no frames.

Consider this:

I go to a private university.

The house is purpose-built to be a fraternity house.

The house is pretty new.


The house is not worn, shabby or rough at all, and there are certainly no milk crates.
