Yes, absolutely. I approach this like so, you have an idea to convey, a plan so to speak. You convey ideas to people in order to achieve something, in other words. If you say everything that is firstly information overload and secondly person might not be ready for it all. So you say less, probe them, and then see what else you need to deliver to them in order to achieve your goal.
