Francisco d'Anconia
Master Don Juan
I think there was a thread long ago about movie and television DJs. While watching an Indiana Jones marathon this afternoon I thought it would be a good idea to resurrect the thread.
Just post movies that have inspired the DJ in you. List the actor(s) that were inspirational and what qualities they had that stood out as truly that of a Don Juan.
For me, I noticed that Harrison Ford's character Indy (much like that of his other famous character Han Solo) had some very beneficial qualities.
He was:
1. Intelligent (well read/worldly) - It enabled him to have conversations about any and everything.
2. Confident (not too ****y) - He was comfortable talking to kings, elders, whomever. He was respectful but not supplicant.
3. Quick thinking - He adjusted to adversity well. He could make a decision (although maybe not perfect) but somehow make it work. This is a good for DJs who want to project themselves as 'spur of the moment.'
4. Up front and straight forward - No game playing here. He told you what was on his mind in no uncertain terms. With women, he told them how much of a pain they were to him right before kissing them. Can't live with them, can't live without them.
5. Always up for a challenge - Although he wasn't crazy about snakes, it never stopped him for going for the prize. Consider rejection when thinking about this. It's not something we necessarily enjoy but we shouldn't ever let it stop us from our quest.
6. He kick the bad guys @ss when they get in his way. Think about AFCs or DJ haters with this one. They are after the same prize as you, but when it comes down to it they despise you because they know that you have the skills that they wish they had. When they start hating, just pull out your bull whip and cut them a new one.
These are just a few things that came to mine that stuck out in each movie. Let us know if there are more things that you guys have noticed in the Indiana Jones' movies or others that you like.
