I think there was a thread long ago about movie and television DJs. While watching an Indiana Jones marathon this afternoon I thought it would be a good idea to resurrect the thread.

Just post movies that have inspired the DJ in you. List the actor(s) that were inspirational and what qualities they had that stood out as truly that of a Don Juan.

For me, I noticed that Harrison Ford's character Indy (much like that of his other famous character Han Solo) had some very beneficial qualities.

He was:
1. Intelligent (well read/worldly) - It enabled him to have conversations about any and everything.

2. Confident (not too ****y) - He was comfortable talking to kings, elders, whomever. He was respectful but not supplicant.

3. Quick thinking - He adjusted to adversity well. He could make a decision (although maybe not perfect) but somehow make it work. This is a good for DJs who want to project themselves as 'spur of the moment.'

4. Up front and straight forward - No game playing here. He told you what was on his mind in no uncertain terms. With women, he told them how much of a pain they were to him right before kissing them. Can't live with them, can't live without them.

5. Always up for a challenge - Although he wasn't crazy about snakes, it never stopped him for going for the prize. Consider rejection when thinking about this. It's not something we necessarily enjoy but we shouldn't ever let it stop us from our quest.

6. He kick the bad guys @ss when they get in his way. Think about AFCs or DJ haters with this one. They are after the same prize as you, but when it comes down to it they despise you because they know that you have the skills that they wish they had. When they start hating, just pull out your bull whip and cut them a new one.

These are just a few things that came to mine that stuck out in each movie. Let us know if there are more things that you guys have noticed in the Indiana Jones' movies or others that you like.

You're right, good movie and Ryan was definitely a DJ with a mean player streak.

Swingers...of Course.

I know someone was going to mention it already. But, we all know that this movie showed the classic AFC in Mikey and the classic DJ in Trent.

Above all the one-liners, funny sayings, swing dancing, and oldschool clothing...you can really get a mind state of how a P/U artist thinks.

Sooo many quotables in this movie that stick with you -

"When you approach this girl, I don't want you to be the guy in the PG movie that everybody hopes makes it happen...I want you to be the guy in the rated R movie...the guy you're not quite sure where he's comming from.."

and

"girls dress like that because they want you to notice them....they know what you want....DON'T apoligize for it"

yea..all time classic favorite DJ movie

Ok, the season premier of Joey isnt exactly a movie, but it was on during dinner tonight and it had some DJ humour to it. Joey telling his nephew how to pick up women (telling him not to call for a few days) FOLLOWED BY his mother, Joey's sister, saying stuff like NO NO, call her tonight so she knows you like her!

LOL

It kinda reminds me of a post by Playa_Supreme (if I screwed up the name sry, I dont spend my entire life on here) that talked about a site ran by women to help guys learn to seduce the opposite sex. hahaha:D

Just thought I'd throw this in.

I never got to the end of fight club. I thought it was too gay. that nerd kept obsessing on that skinny punk guy actor model dude.

I only heard recently that it was a split personality thing....so maybe I will finish watching it. But it was a bit unrealistic. Scrawny heads like that do not make good fighters.

Now this is fighting:

Billy Wirth In Red Shoe Diaries......Or Olivier Martinez In Unfaithful

Billy Wirth in Red Shoe Diaries "The Movie" was a definite Don Juan.

Olivier Martinez in Unfaithful was also a Don Juan.

Although they both played to a different crowed as women are concerned.

Olivier Martinez's Character Paul in Unfaithful would probably have sophisticated nice girls wetting their panties while Billy Wirth's Character Tom in Red Shoe Diaries The Movie would have had the prom princess party girls wetting their panties.

Although generally speaking an excited wet pair of panties is always a good thing.

MindOverMatter check the link in the quote....it sends you to a porno site...... My Grandma was right behind me... Damn You. :p

I'm gonna say Hannibal Lector, though quite crazy and AFC, he had great abilities of reading and understanding people. His actions and mentality was just ****ed up.

Meet Joe Black(?) was also a good movie, has Anthony Hopkins in it too....

Oceans 11.

Plus Tons of Indies... but since they arn't mainstream hollywood **** I doubt many people would know them here, there not like Pulp Fiction, there really underground stuff...

Jonathan in "Serendipity". Particularly the skating rink scene. Lots of conversation. Then she falls and whilst he's being a tad chivalrous tending to her wounds, he engages in kino by noticing that her freckles are in the shape of a constellation. He tells her the story in such a way as to show intelligence yet with enough humor to defuse any geek-like appearance.

Now, the problem with his character is that he's already got a girlfriend which naturally results in confidence. Furthermore, it's a movie and you know they're going to get together so she doesn't freak out like most women would.

Watch Humphrey Bogart in his other movies besides Casablanca.
Maltese Falcon and Dark passage were good.

Paul Newman is the biggest DJ on the big screen. Hud and the Hustler are great.

John Wayne is good to. I saw one of his flicks on AMC and I think its called Hitachi or something like that. Their a bunch of hunters and there's his love interest in the movie who's a photographer. She joins the team and everyone kisses this girl's ass except John Wayne. She treats everyone like a sap except John. He then tells her she's getting in his way and she's a nuisance. Instantly she goes and whines to those guys who were kissing her ass about him. I never saw the ending but I'll rent it sometime...

I suggest you try to find a film with jerry lewis and tony curtis called Boeing Boeing... it's a bit old not sure the date it was released. but Tony Curtis in this film was sleeping around 3 or 4 different and sexy air hostesses it's comical but certainly i learnt a lot about women from it, and how gullible they are when they like or love a man.

About Serendipity, that ice skating scene might be OK but the guy is not DJ.

See the scene where he's desperately trying to get her number when it blows away in the wind. And then he lets the girl lead him on a wild-goose chase. Desperate AFC behaviour.

Best DJ Movie EVER !!!!

Michael Caine and Steve Martin in : Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

****Skills****
everything in the DJ Bible is displayed
Wingman
C*ckblocking
Taking large amounts of money from women and ferarri's
How to spit game
Create interest
Remain a Mystery
Remain a Challenge

Just imagine if PS or PRL liven in Europe. Ok 2 DJ's one a true master taking millions of dollars off rich women as well as sex. The other an up and coming DJ wanting to learn from the master how to play women to make the big dollars.

good scene when they on the train and the young DJ is trying to school the Master Don Juan on the problems with women in society and how they leech of us and how he is flipping the script.

also you can see after their intial fallout and games they become

WINGMEN

they work as a team to play women for the big money

you will also see some funny as fu** c*ckblocking after the fall out again.

and the trump card is they both get played by a woman DJ

BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT SHE WAS HARMLESS

at the end when they realise they both been had watch how each of them reacts differently.

the best movie :D

Harrison Ford as Han Solo in : The Empire Strikes Back

he neg hits priness leah relentlessly " sorry your worship " and kino's her for a kiss close

Mark Hammil plays the classic AFC , even gets a kiss for

" being a nice guy " but doesn't realise he is in the LJBF zone LOL

Clark Gable as Captain Rhett Butler in : Gone With The Wind

all the women want him. he is a KNOWN ladies man.

Scarlett O'Hara ( Vivien Leigh ) has like 40 AFC's wrapped around her finger. Not Rhett, he laughs in her face and makes fun of her LOL !

the man is a straight up pimp. he doesn't take ****. doesn't care what other people think or care about their approval.

check out the scene where they declare war and he doesn't want to join a fight that he knows he will lose. everybody in the whole joint turns against him. he walks out cool as a mutha fu**a.

His young daughter dies riding her pony. He shoots the pony dead.

His wife trys to tell him that she doesn't have to have sex with him is she doesn't want to even though they are married.

HE FORCES HER....

HE GRABS HER TAKES HER UPSTAIRS AND FU**S HER BRAINS OUT !

At the end of the movie after Scarlett his wife fu**s him around

HE WALKS OUT ON HER PIMP STYLE with the now famous line

" FRANKLY MY DEAR I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ! "

John Wayne as Quirt Evans in : Angel and the Badman

He is the alpha male. she is the church girl/good girl looking for a bad boy. she hears him talking about all the women he has been with while he is asleep after he was shot. as soon as he wakes up he hits on her lol. he goes and sees another woman always keeping his options open until he decides the good girl is a LTR.

Sean Connery as James Bond in : Never Say Never Again

what can i say, he is a pimp all the way through, his peak is when he sneaks into the health gym and dons a massuse's uniform to give Kim Basinger a massage :D his ****y/funny here is a classic as he cannot resist but throw a few mumurs of approval about her tight young body in while he proceeds to massage her for information.

Charlton Heston as Rodrigo of Bevar in : El Cid

Is engaged to a hot chick who loves him ( Sofia Loren ). a fight breaks out between the two familys. instead of being an AFC and worrying about his woman he is an alpha male and ends up killing his gf's father. doesn't take **** from her about it either LOL. wins her back over in the end by being a real man.

Tom Selleck as Magnum P.I

living off his rich mates. hooking up with hot b*tches. driving someone else's ferarri. outsmarts higgin's and dobermans. stands over the US navy at pearl harbour whenever they cross his path. Alpha male.

other good DJ movies / actors

Van Wilder

Humphrey Bougart

Cary Grant

Groucho Marx ( real pimp )

Kevin Costner in Tin Cup

Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore

Biggest AFC = Mark Wahlberg in : The Big Hit

thats all i can think of at the moment :D

I'm glad your going back in the movie history time vault.

I forgot On the waterfront and the Wild One.
Marlon Brando had some pimpish qualities about him. If you watch the wild one please don't mimmick everything he does because the movie is very outdated but it's still a classic.
