Master Don Juan
The philosopher David Hume believed that nothing in life is 100% original. Everything imagined has been the product of something that has already existed. For example. If you wanted to envision a golden mountain (which doesn't exist) you have to think of gold and you have to think of a mountain. A gold mountain is an original concept, however you need things that have already existed to envision it.
I feel this way about the person that I want to be. I believe that if there is a specific trait you want to inherit, then it's best to look to attain someone elses greatness before surpassing it. I could probably come up with a list of over 100 people who will influence the person I want to become but I've narrowed it down for purposes of example. Some people are listed are people I know personally (censored), some are celebrity personalities. However, these are some of the ways I shape my life. Some topics have more than one person to reference:
I want breath control of Maynard James Keenan
I want guitar skills and passion of Jimmy Page and David Gilmour
I want the drumming ability of John Bonham and Danny Carey
I want a food diet like Jack Lalanne
I want the composure under pressure of Tom Brady
I want the confrontational skills and cooking ability of Gordon Ramsey
I want the gym intensity of Hans *****
I want the seduction skills of Entropy
I want the stacking abilities of Saffron
I want the comic ability of Conan O’Brien, Jim Norton, Adam ****
I want the work ethic of Bill Belichick and
I want the learning ability of Aaron ****
I want the financial knowledge of Suzi Ormen
I want the investing knowledge of Warren Buffet
I want the business knowledge of Mark Cuban
I want the philosophy skills of Ralph Waldo Emerson
I want the conceptual skills of Roger Waters
I want the fighting ability of George St. Pierre
I want the sexual ability of Rocco Sifredi
I want the writing ability of Pook
I want the passion of socializing of Theodore Roosevelt
I could go on alot longer, but I'll do so in private writing to not make this an endless shpeal. When I think of excelling in these areas I will connect with these people in my mind as if they were my teachers. I will form my ideal self based on some of these people.
How about you?
