I think someone stole my bankcard info

I recently checked out my bank balances trying to pay off my credit card

I was keeping track of everything i bought, so i new how much i had in there

But when i looked, i had less than what i thought. might be a miscalculation, but i noticed a strange site Epoch.com, where a payment was made for 34 dollars

I've never heard of this site in my life. i was wondering if it was a banksite for them or something, but why would they randomly take 34 dollars out of my account? I haven't bought anything for 34 dollars

and now i can't pay my bill!

I have reason to suspect, because some stole my credit card info as well and used it for escort sites and such.

I'm scared. I'm going up there tomorrow to talk to them, but would it do any good?

I doubt they'd give me any money back if it was false.

My roommate had about a $33 something charge occuring every month or every few months. It was a membership charge for a porn site! The bank was able to track down the guy's name that was using it and handled things

I've had people get my info rip me off. The tricky part is to find the address of the place that charged your card. If you send them a registered letter saying you didn't buy whatever it was, and they don't refund the money, then your bank should reimburse you.

You need to find an address, and send a registered letter demanding your money back. That should do the trick.

Just document everything. get a hold of epoch, call them if you can and demand a reciept, do whatever you can and document everything.

Some of those sites purposely make it harder than fukk to send them a hard letter.

Immediately go to your bank and talk to them. They might reimburse you automatically and cancel your card. At least get the card canceled and get a new one. ASAP

I found out what it was. apparently it was from when i let my brother make a "trial" subscription to a site. I guess that bastards automatically renewed the bill every month after the trial. very sneaky. I guess they call it convenience, lol more like pain in the ass to get rid of

I called the billers and they agreed to cancel it and refund my money that they took.

I'm glad that's over. lesson learned, never pay for some site you don't know, or let anyone else use your card.
