What you're doing is good for the most part. You SHOULDN'T need to respond to texts right away; you're a busy man!
You do, however, need to initiate contact more. Take the lead, and make plans with her based on when YOU want to see her, rather than waiting for her to text you.
Acting uninterested can sometimes be interpreted as a lack of confidence, because it takes a certain degree of confidence to go after what you want. If you're spending an unreasonable amount of effort trying to appear coolly detached, she will eventually lose interest.
A mix of neediness and disinterest is the OPPOSITE of what you should be striving for. You want to demonstrate a GENUINE SEXUAL DESIRE for the girl, while [non-verbally] communicating the fact that you have other options. In other words, the attitude that you WANT this girl, and as a MAN, you are going to try to hook up with her, but if it doesn't work out, it's no big deal and you won't get upset. THIS is what drives interest level sky high.
The funny thing is, this is a very NATURAL attitude- basically, the definition of masculinity. It's aggressiveness tempered by rationality. The problem is, we often grow up forced to suppress these natural inclinations because of the progressive agenda to make men less aggressive and more sensitive and empathetic. This may (or may not) be good for society, but it is truly AWFUL for pickup.
