Just some things I have learned in my short time on this planet........30 years that is.

To get the women wet and chasing after you, you must:

Cast aside and steer clear of the much hyped common man, with his commonplace dreams and aspirations and strive to be something much MUCH greater and make it known to the world.

Next...

If you have talent, and recognize the potential within yourself, you have the right to be egotistical. "No man lives for another" -Ayn Rand.

Before you go out to the clubs, school etc.. to pick up chicks remember:
You must be the complete master of your own mind. Do not seek anybody's approval.

To move to the next level in society and have women fantasize about being with you, you must and this is a big MUST:

Have complete irreverence for all precedents, traditions, and conventions. In other words never compromise your IDEALS. Be a man of immense integrity and walk the talk.

TRY TO REMAIN UNTOUCHED BY EXTERNAL INFLUENCE. THINK ONLY OF YOURSELF AND GO THROUGH LIFE WITH LASER BEAM ACCURACY TOWARD YOUR GOALS.

The reason they will want you is because they will think that you are untouchable and powerful. They only dream of being with a man like you.

True... the greatest kings crowned themselves. However, you should not talk about your beliefs i they are unwanted in society. I you or example is a nationalsocialist, then you will not get ar in your lie.

I have nothing to gain from being like everyone else. I have something to do and I am going to do it.
Just for the record I am a capitalist.

Ragnar, capitalism ain't such a bag of chips...
You might want to inspect the correlation between the have and the have nots. On park ave here in NY, you have millionaire CEO's tripping over homeless people on the way out of their executive suites offices. Yes it's capitalism that the Religious Militants object to, and the "freedom of democracy". But ultimately all these monikers do is separate people, when we are just human and guaranteed to die within 100 years give or take a year. There are no poor people in Congress. You need millions to run for office. Ultimately it's these handful of people we appoint to make decisions...These decisions unfortunately, more often than not are based on how much they get paid off by lobbyists, campaign supporters, parties with other interests, etc. I still love my country, my city NYC, and my neighborhood. But all I can say is think, and keep thinking.

You will earn a lot of respect from women when you are older, if you show them, your lacklust for money, and thirst for more worldly ideas and thinking. Ultimately all the love in the world is in your head. You can't put a price on that. Better to stuff her head, than her wallet.

um....one question are we better off than we were 100yrs ago? Are we living longer? Would you rather have horse dung on the streets of manhatten from the horse and buggies?

Capitalism is the only social system that allows people to think what they want. Have you ever been to a hospital in Canada? I hope you never get deathly ill there. Socialized medicine is the most damning portrait of a society that takes care of everyone.

Look at what communism is doing in N. Korea! Look at countries that haven't embraced capitalism. We don't even have capitalism in this country we have whats called a mixed economy that is why you see so many issues.

I understand what you are saying Ragnar.

The problems that we & I inclusively with America, currently face, present a challenge of enormous proportions...makes slavery abolition seem like a walk in the park-

We Americans, are not very honest or ethical.
We bribe people, countries, and cultures, to 'convince them'
We use money as a mop, but people are not dirt. Airdrop Benjamins in Afghanistan. Why not do that in South Central?
Is exploitation, or globalization to cut costs good business? For who? We carry on proud and don't ask questions everyday, and let the media parade our lives. The same companies own all the media outlets. The energy companies put California in the dark, lights out, to make extra loot. Pharmaceutical companies spend more resources developing Viagras than AIDS meds. We lack focus. We drive SUV's and need cars with 300horses thriving on Exxon. We overdevelop land, and we destroy natural resources.

We are good people in comparison to the rest of the world. Yes But we make a lot of bad moves. We don't portray ourselves like a world leader should, promoting integrity over celebrity, and pride instead of a superiority complex.

Must we build buildings to prove ourselves competent? Surely we can use more intelligent methods of showing people who we are and want to be.

You are not looking at the results.

If you can find a better way than explain it.

We have the highest standard of living in the world.

The reason why we wouldn't drop $$ in south central as opposed to afganistan is because everyone in america has the same chance.

You can't move up the corporate ladder? Then start your own business. I am not going to waste time writing about how many people have done that. I would submit Henry Ford's biography for your reading pleasure. HE created the middle class out of nothing.

You can do anything you set your mind to. Don't use the government as an excuse as to why YOU can't or anyone else can't succeed.

YOU are obviously too smart for that.

Lot of luck in all of your endeavors.

Please no political discussions here! --> DON JUAN <-- Discussion Forum

"I have nothing to gain from being like everyone else. I have something to do and I am going to do it.

In that sense you are correct. I think I misread your post in some way? No here is why:

"If you have talent, and recognize the potential within yourself, you have the right to be egotistical."

Displaying such a belief in the wrong setting is not good. At least not in my country. Sharing the belief of the commoners outwardly is good. Extreme beliefs should be kept within oneself.

Our discussion focus I think is actually not on the content, but arrival at it. Think differently. Question. And be strong, and if you don't know something, allow yourself to be corrected, be strayed back onto topic, and don't get upset.

Just so you know, the results I've been looking at complete your sentence:America has the highest standard of living...at the expense of the rest of the world. Need computer programmers? They're cheaper in India. Need clothing seamstressess? Go to Malaysia pay em $1/hr they don't have wage laws. Need labor locally? Mexicans are cheap. Need oil? go to Iraq in 6 months... we'll have good little Iraqi's pumping oil so we can pay $.75 a gallon since we'll pay em $1/hr to drill.

Girls who see you are interested in all kinds of things, and are able to apply basic common principles to large society issues see you as potentially smart, a thinker, and someone who cares about their own existence and doesn't let things slide. Always read the newspapers, because it just adds to your subject matter of relevant stuff.

Ragnar, your post is right on target. I like the line:

"You must be a complete master of your own mind"

That is exatly what I'm striving to get at. That is one of my main goals. I'm curious though. What pushed you to become a master of your mind, what was your drive, your motivation? And how did you achieve it, if you have achieved it that is.

Thanks

Thanks Prince,

You are on track if you are "Thinking" about what you are "thinking about. Get it?

You have to start catching yourself thinking and determine if it is good or bad for you. I started writing down my thoughts a long time ago with the date and the time I had them and it worked wonders. You will be surprised at how many negative and just downright useless thoughts that you have on any given day.

Quite frankly, you need to get into the HABIT of catching yourself thinking and slowly reprogram your mind to think only about what is important. TRY before you go to bed at night to focus on one aspect of yourself that you would like to change ( i.e. Be more enthusiastic all the time) Visualize yourself in the morning waking up with that attitude and you definitely will.

That's exactly what I do.

Like I said if you are thinking about it now then you are on the right track. Make it a priority to control your thoughts and you will. Write it down, make it a goal, put a sticky note on your mirror at home when you wake up so that you know that you need to refocus your thoughts that day.

Hope this helps.

i agree with the original post, but i think there needs to be a transition at some point.

throughout college and maybe up to 30-35 yrs old, one can possess these qualities and attract chicks. and if one possesses these qualities and executes them well, that individual should wind up with a good job anf financial security.

however, i think that this type of mentality causes one to harden over the years, which is not necessarily the greatest things when looking to settle down and have kids. once an individual has hit the point of, "been there, done that", theres no longer any reason to be so fiercely competitive. instead, one should opt for subtle confidence and tone down the brazenness and such.

think.....skinny azz millionaire CEO in a gym filled with 20-something steroid head freaks. he cant match them physically, but his inner confidence more than makes up the difference.
