Then don't expect to get a lot of replies. People are not likely to respond to a half ass profile. It's the same way they don't respond well to overly done profiles.

If you don't put anything on it, they'll know nothing about you and won't feel compelled to want to talk to you. Why should they? You've given them nothing interesting. The same way if you put too much into it, it looks like you have no life.

The key is to put just enough. Just give some basic interests. Basic things about you. Enough to give them an idea of who you are without telling them everything.
