Dear Mr. guy who got his gf pregnant,

Its in my opinion that if the girl wants to keep the child to be, shes gonna go keep it. Something similar has happened to friends of mine and i have heard of cases from friends about the subject of "unwanted" pregancy, so my knowledge of this topic is fairly limited.

Now i am writing this post with the view of aborting the child, this forums about sharing ideas so im gonna try and answer the question as best i can.
In getting her to change you need external help, talk to her parents get conselling and try to get in and see a marriage counselor. The strategy is simple, having a child is so daunting and neither of you are ready for it so the only apparent option is abortion. You use "scare tactics". In military terms, you change the terms of the engagement to suit you.

Now he next part is contraversial and im not sure about the legality of it, there was a rumpur amongst some friends of mine that one of their acquantainces had got a girl pregnant. Due to the fact that the girl was not considered "suitable", "specialists" were outsourced (probably from some private eye/security company or something of the like). This resulted in the child being successfully aborted. Sorry i don't actually know the facts of the case as i don't directly know the people concerned and its not the thing im gonna bring up. So such people do exist.

Im expecting to get flamed for this post so heres my disclaimer, im playing devil's advocate and being as objective as possible. Furthermore im an athiest and i believe that sometimes the "right" thing to do isn't always the best thing to do. I believe "Le Chifre" from James Bond, Casino Royale said it best, "i don't believe in God, i believe in a reasonable rate of return".

To answer your argument of masterbating and killing sperm cells, is a mute point, because the sperm from the father is not a new life form but is part of the father and doesn't develop into another human being on it's own, so you can describe the sperm as a "bunch of cells".

It is totally unlike when the sperm fertilizes the egg and becomes an embryo, that is when a new human life begins. Then is it a seperate living soul no longer part of the father's or mother life force, but it's own entity, a new developing person.

How the hell do you know a soul is in the set of cells when conception takes place? Where do souls come from? Humans usually understand that they themselves exist, does a "human" thats 3 days old understand this? What exactly constitutes as a person? Mind cant exist without a body to enter into it. So please explain the philosophy involved to convey youre stubborn view.

And then there are two types of stem cell research, one is ADULT stemcell research, where researchers take tissue from adults without killing or taking anyones life. The second is EMBRYONIC stem cell research, where scientists destroy human embryos that already have a human soul.

So far the EMBRYONIC method has not achieved any significant findings and has just massacred thousands of innocent human lives.

Uhh...embryotic stem cells havent developed into neurons or glial cells yet, which gives them more potential.

As far as the mother having a choice into aborting the child because of rape,
again the new human life is innocent and a seperate soul from the mother and the father. Why should an innocent life be killed because of the sins of it's father? Would you like it if you had to face a death sentence because of the wrong doing of your dad? And moving on to the arguments of the child causing more suffering and miserable lives for the parents. This is selfishness. Does it seem right to destroy an innocent life because it will inconveniece someone? Does it seem right that because maybe the mother or father won't be able to finish school, get a good job and make money and have a fun life that they should be able to kill their child because of their selfish intentions?

Yea, it would be awesome to grow up and learn that youre a product of rape that wont do any psychological damage. The mom and dad arent just affected. Imagine an abandoned or unwanted and mistreated baby grows up and murders a bunch of people...excellent it seems to be from youre position. A baby can DESTROY the lives of those parents which destorys its life, which later down the road results in the child destroy other lives with maladaptive behaviors.

Suffering is a mystery and part of the human condition. If you're a human you're guaranteed to have some form of suffering come in and out of your life on this earth.

We suffer because the first man Adam disobeyed God and made us a fallen humanity.

If you are angry because it had the POTENTIAL to be a life then you should be angry at contraception, and at yourself every time you use it. You should be angry that you aren't screwing that chick at the bar because the act you are/want to carry out has the POTENTIAL to create life. Kinda hypocritical don't you think?

Nope, wrong. Contraception is preventing pregnancy, preventing the sperm from getting to the egg.

Abortion is killing (aborting) a human being with a completely different set of DNA from the mother, AFTER the sperm and the egg have come together. Don't say it's just a collection of cells, that's bullsh!t. After 8 weeks it's got every single body part. It's got unique fingerprints. It feels pain. That's not potential life...it is life. So if you acknowledge that, then where do you draw the line between human and non-human? How about using the obvious, natural line- when the baby is created.

If we're saying it has to have self-awareness for it to be human, what about the brain-damaged people on life support? Are they non-human?

And BTW, the overwhelming majority of abortions are not because of rape, they're because the woman in question couldn't keep her legs together.

I think that's wrong.

And no, I don't support the death penalty.
