I have something I always do on the first date. After I pick her up, I shut my phone off in front of her. Generally, the woman will copy and do the same. The ones who keep their phone on and play with it during the date won't be seeing me again.

Depends on the context. If she's always on it, it's quite rude. If she uses it when you are talking, again that is quite rude. If she just uses it when there is a break in talking, there is no issue
