1.) It is relatively cheap and a big bang for your buck. Most gym memberships probably average around $40.00 a month. If you go about 5X a a week, it is only costing you about $2.00 a day to use wonderful equipment.


2.) It gets you out of the house. One of the reasons I did NOT buy P-90X is because who wants to work out in your home? I would find it alot harder to get motivated. Driving/walking to a workout facility gets you out of the house and keeps you away from other distractions (e.g. watching T.V; porn, playing video games.)


3.) You can make new friends. If you go to the gym regularly, you are bound to see some of the same people. Make new friends and add to your social network.


4.) WOMEN! Although most gyms are like bars/clubs (e.g. the ratio of men to women is NOT in your favor); there are handful of hotties (both patrons and trainers) that will be there. It is another potential place to get a date and in the worst case scenario, there will just be eye candy to look at when you work out.

Completely true and in fact ever since i started going to my college gym i've seriously expanded my social circle with very like minded guys who in turn invite me to parties where there are a lot of girls... moral is don't be threatened just because there are a lot of guys there.

This is because the amount of guys that go to the gym only represents a small percentage of actual men and in a lot of cases the gym guys are usually the alpha male so enough time with them and
1) You will absorb some of their natural ***** pulling characteristics.
2) Those guys get legit poontang and will over time help you get it as well.

Socially the gym was the best investment i made all semester, forget the the frat stuff and all that bull**** suck up being put in your "place" ****.

I agree 100%. Let me add some more advantages from a more senior's members experiences:

You stand out above the herd

Lot's of young guys are well built. But someone in their 50's - a very rare animal. 99% of guys my age have gone to seed. Big beer poeps and moobs are common. The chicks notice and are intriqued, they are just as shallow as us, age does not seem to matter.

self asteem boost

Took me two years to get close to what I looked like 30 years ago. Not easy at all to work off all that accumulated fat deposits. Don't think I will ever do that totally. But I look and feel so good and walk around with my head held high.

Limbido boost

As you get older, your testosterone level drops, with a corresponding drop in your sex drive causing a limp d!ck. Weight training and the supplements such as ZMA increases the levels (Not alas to what they were in your 20's). Your increased fitness also ensures that you won't have a heart attack during the deed.

One thing someone sort of pointed out already was that you acquire some of the characteristics of whoever else is working out at that gym. Humans have an amazing mechanism for adaptation, but it was served us well and continues to do so. For example, I played hockey with some kid in southern MA who worked out at the same gym as a few of the guys from the new England patriots NFL team. He was saying that it was impossible not to be motivated when you would see guys putting up 400 lb benches.

You watch, you learn, you get better.
