Going to Europe for a month in mid July with my brother, but he's only staying a little while. Itinerary looks as follows

Ireland - 1 week (Dublin, Belfast)
England - 5 days (London, Manchester)
Italy - 5 days (Rome, Venice)

These countries are my heritage so they are definites. But then my brother is coming back to the states and that leaves me another 10 days or so to rock on my own.

Where would you recommend for game where an American accent and a some cash does all the work for me?

Can anyone elaborate a little more on why they chose their city? I'm looking for tourist game yes, but scenery and history are also a plus.

Ireland and Italy are heritage tours so they're a lock, and I've wanted to see London since I was a kid. I'm taking up the advice to go to Amsterdam as its so close to London, but I need at least one more city.

Considering:
Oswiecim (Auschwitz)
Prague (scenery and architecture)
Paris (not sure why honestly)
Athens (history second to none but not sure with the economic unrest)
Berlin (the wall and probably some great WWII stuff)
Madrid (long shot - way too hot this time of year)

Can anyone help?

I've spent a lot of time in EU. A few tips I'd like to offer you - but don't take offence!

Not everyone is going to rock your East Coast/USA Military look back at you. Depending on what EU country you're in.

Consider not travelling too far on your 10 day solo part of the trip. You'll lose valuable time schlepping yourself and your gear all over the place. My best tip is choose a country, choose an area, get a base and know the neighbourhood, local bars, clubs etc.

Amsterdam is a must. It's one of the best cities in EU.

Greece may sound like a cheap option at the moment. There are protests on the streets ( I have friends that live there), and sourcing food in some areas is an issue. I'd steer clear.

Berlin is an incredible city with amazing bars, clubs etc. The area called Kreuzberg is amazing. That would be on my list.

And Prague. Of all the cities in Europe I'd say Prague and Krakow, Poland have some of the most stunning females on the planet. That may be as Far East as you want to go.

All in all you'll have to plan those 10 days tight though. If it were me, I'd go to Prague for 5 days and Amsterdam for 5 days. Get immersed in an area and not travel non stop for the sake of it.

Have a great trip. I fell in love with Europe 20 years ago and I'm still going back each year...

If you are going to Europe and you want to get laid then you'd better be heading off to the south coast of Spain. Malaga for example. Sun, sea and sangria.

I'm just going to use the accent to leverage the lost tourist gimmick. Amsterdam is a definite and so is Rome (forgot to mention)

I'll be spending at least 5 days in every country. So you're not keen on Paris?

Prague vs Berlin pound for pound? You spoke pretty highly of both.

Which country do the women actually like Yankees?

Take this from a guy who travelled all over the world for the last 3.5 years and is European...

Go to croatia: Split and then to Hvar. Stay in hostels
I did this trip myself, going solo (if you go solo, go to hostels, easiest place to get to meet people), best time I've ever had. What can you do:
- Pubcrawls with 1.5 hour all you can drink
- Party hard
- Like adventure? Canyoning, rafting, mountain climbing, exploring nature parks, staying in the mountains, sailing, island hopping, you name it, they got it
- Want to chill out? Go to a calm island nearby
- Want to go to a party island, hop on over to Hvar...

Prices are decent, not cheap, not too expensive. Best place in the world in my honest opinion.

Man. Prague vs Berlin. That is a v hard call... Women. Prague wins. I was there a few years ago with a buddy. He actually put his neck out head swivelling. Yep. For women, it has to be Prague.

Someone mentioned beaches above. What he said is true. But countries with no coast nearby have lake beaches and fake beaches. Berlin had an awesome canal beach PACKED with stunning looking girls.

But go Prague. Post here when you're there :)

where I found more hot females per square meter has been in... Kracow, Poland. Super cute/hote chicks everywhere, really, its crazy.

I've been living in Prague and there are hot chicks but not as many, they dress like sh-it, and they are not as nice as the polish.

However, if you go to the south of spain or the east coast , or to some island like Mallorca or Ibiza...you add hot weather + lots of alcohol + lots of parties + beach... horny women, either spanish or foreigners visiting the city.

American living in London for the past 4+ years.

Let me tell you - focus on London.

For the pure reason this is a MELTING POT of all the women from Europe, and they all speak the COMMON LANGUAGE YOU DO - English.

If you go to other countries in Europe, your ability to hook up will be almost zero because you lack the native language charisma required (especially Spain, France & Italy).

Another point, American men can't dress for sh!t. I was there a few years back - you need to learn to dress classy like the European men if you want any European women to raise an eyebrow. You need HAIR (none of that military cut bullsh!t), and NEVER wear American sneakers with jeans, that is a full-on rejection from European women. Period.

There's a few clothing/appearance threads on here in the past, dig them up and study the information (there are links to other website of the specific clothing/shoes talked about).

Good luck.

For one, I heard women in the UK are awful. Is this true?

Two, I speak a pretty solid Spanish. I did it throughout high school and minored in college and been to 6 Caribbean countries. Having given 15 minute presentations in Spanish, I'm confident I can get by in Spain. Although I've been out of college for 4 years, so it's probably 50% gone.

Three, I already dress pretty well. The high and tight is only short on the sides, I have 6 inches of hair on the top that I can do a lot with. And I have two really nice pairs of shoes and a half dozen good shirts.

Do they respond to a more alpha game on the streets of UK? Lost tourist?

Greece an Spain are good. Try one of the Greek Islands (it will be cheap there right now owing to the economic situation). Also Costa Del Sol or Costa Brava in Spain. I can highly recommend Barcelona and Amsterdam. Also heard good things about Berlin, though never been.

Never been to Belfast, but would also recommend spending more time in Dublin. Ireland is pretty expensive too.

The gay district in Manchester is Canal Street, which traditionally is where the party scene is at, but the north of England is a very friendly place anyway and cheaper than London. For London, try Soho and/or Leicester Square for night life (they are next door to each other and basically always busy). Covent Garden is good and a bit more up-market too. Camden for an alternative more artsy scene. If you can have a night out in Liverpool or Newcastle as well, they are good party scenes.

So the final reservation is

London 7/27 - 8/2
Amsterdam 8/2 - 8/8
Rome 8/8 - 8/14
Barcelona 8/14 - 8/20

Ireland is out because my brother wants to see that country with me and can't make it this year. While Madrid is running 105 degrees this time of year, Barcelona is about 20 degrees cooler. I've always been fascinated with the Hispanic world and minored in Spanish in college.

Amsterdam ended up being the wild card city that replaced Ireland in my brother's absence.

If anyone else wants to chime in I'm all ears. Anyone been to red light in Amsterdam?
