Complaints include a preponderance of men who are looking for much younger women, as well as men who misrepresent their looks, interests or marital status, or who show little interest in moving the relationship offline, she said.

"There's not much of a difference between the virtual world and the real world," said Linda, 33, a Toronto professional who has used an online dating site on and off, three or four times for a few months each time.

"It's sad and equally as frustrating."
Ever notice it's always the cougars that are complaining about the available men? Why couldn't these cougars secure a man when they were 22 or 25? Don't they realize that men consider them as old maids?

For one thing these were Canadian women. From what I hear from the Canadian women I know, they have as many men up there misrepresenting themselves as we have women here in the States representing themselves.

But here's a question for MDJ, when did women in their early 30s become a cougars? That's a scary thought. Are women in their 40s now considered mountain lions and women in their 50s considered wilderbeasts? :nervous:

They're past the age where it's really wise to think of them as potential mothers of your offspring, so that means they're only good for one thing. Age 33 is borderline maybe, but late 20's is generally a more realistic cutoff to me.

Maybe my perspective is skewed but the only reason to consider an LTR leading to marriage is kids IMO, and this demographic might HAVE some, but they're close to worthless for MAKING more.

We can say the EXACT same thing for women. In other words, change that to "Women misrepresent their looks, interests, or matital status...etc"
and you get the proper perspective.
Once again, men being villified, as if there are NOT claims or data that suggest women do the same exact things.

Good women don't seem to be finding the good men, and good men are also NOT finding the good women.
That's all.

Good lord, is there NO appeasing these 25 undesirable, older, out-of-shape, bitter Canadian women?

Women are notorious for misrepresenting their age and especially their body size. Look at the terminology women use for "heavy", "overweight", "obese", "large" or "fat":

They'll say that they're "Average", "Curvy", "Voluptuous", a "BBW = Big, Beautiful Woman". I've seen online profiles of double-chinned women stating that they're "athletic and toned", which makes me wonder: which chin of theirs is the athletic one and which one is the toned one? I can't tell!

Yeah, apparently "athletic" can mean "big enough to be a powerlifter but not solid muscle" in womanspeak.
This is true. I can't believe how many women who believe that having ham hocks for arms mean that they're "athletic." Unless their profile mentions or shows them playing a sport other than darts or bowling, I just shrug them off and say "next."

The last time I met a woman off the web she described herself as "curvy" and looked decent in the pic. Turns out Her butt was so huge she barely fit through the door. She needed a "WIDE LOAD" sign on that thing.

Ive browsed Craigslist a couple times recently. It's a joke. 40+ divorcees, single mommies, 'BBW's', bitter man haters, single mommies, fat women, and....more single mommies.

And more than half of these women think they are a prize to be won.

Get a grip on reality ladies. Your pu$$y is not plated in gold.

Online dating is a travesty. Single DJs should live in a city big enough to play the field. I think the rural types tend to rely more on online dating because of lack of options.

I posted my own take on the 'reverse qualification' ad, more or less for sh!ts and giggles. Old hat, i know, but i couldnt resist. We'll see what turns up.

Chicks should take care of themselves. I know lots of women in their later thirties/early forties who are smoking hot, and I don't mean "ok for an oldie" I mean badass babes.
It's the ones who are either crap to start with or just give in to "old-lady-itis" around 27 that are online lurking monsters, peeved and vexed, scorned more and more each day...
I spend about 30 hours a week keeping myself in pristine shape, there's no way I'm going to have any sympathy for some useless sh1tbag lazy hole. If they don't like the disgusting monsters that are available to them, they should consider getting a ton of money or just give it up. You can't undo being born crap, and you can't undo a life of laziness and stupidity.

Oh yeh, and they should take note of the rule :Half the mans age plus seven. That pretty much stands for the hot ones too. If they're not "owned" by some guy already, they would do well to market themself to an older guy who's in great form.

When said cougars were in their 20s the world was theirs. Problem is they made one of two mistakes:

1) Settling down when they were immature and/or with a royal a@#$@. Now they're divorced and back on the prowl.

2) Setting the bar so high no man could ever achieve it. When they were young and being hit on left and right it was easy to cast men aside if they didn't meet one of their 108 criteria. Now their bargaining power is severely lessened they resent the younger women they used to be.

Actually, dear bigjohnson, 32 is the healthiest age for a woman to have a child, (a woman of 35 is the healthiest time for a child). A famous actress just had a child at 47.

K, bye!

Old birds love to fill thier heads with this type of nonsense even though they know for goddamn sure that thier prime is behind them. Also the falacy that age = wisdom. Also untrue. Women over 30 are on the downward slope of the relationship mountain. They can no longer use the: "I was young and foolish or I'm inexperienced so, whoops, forgive me for falling into a gang bang" bullsh!t excuses.

I'm sick to death of these internet broads (actually probably the alter-egos of WoW junkies like the one quoted) trying to convince everyone that they're as good now as they were back then.

Delusion can sometimes quiet reality I suppose.

I don't care if some actress had a child at 47. Anecdotal.

Where in the H*LL did you get this B.S. about "healthiest" age to have a child?

Do you make this cr*p up? Or are are you simply misinformed and willing to buy this garbage?

This kind of garbage is DANGEROUS to women. It is important for women to know the TRUTH about reproductive risks. It is nearly CRIMINAL, in my view, for someone to knowingly fill women's heads with such lies (I'm not saying YOU are necessarily knowingly lying, Iqqi.)

And the sad part is, women over 30 are INCREASINGLY being referred to "high-risk OB" specialists when they are actually able to conceive, and still, some women want to shout from the mountaintop that women well past their prime childbearing years are just as likely to be able to GET pregnant and have UNCOMPLICATED pregnancies as a twentysomething is.

It baffles my mind. It's as if the "image" and "perception" and "acceptance" of these "warranty-expired" baby machines is more important than communicating the TRUTH to young women about the realities of their fertility and surrounding issues.

I'm nauseated by your post Iqqi; I hope you actually believe what you've written and are only the dupe of some propagandist. Because if you pass out this kind of dangerous misinformation willingly, and knowingly, then you are indeed a "bad" person.

It never ceases to amaze me how many women will put up photos which distort the visual reality of their body. Better yet are the ones (like you mention) who describe themselves one way and then offer up photographic proof that said description is untrue.

As if nobody's going to figure it out.

Even if they have a great body, not offering clear proof of that is reason enough to suspect they're hiding something.

My favorites:
- goofy shot from above to give appearance of large boobs, while hiding view of the rest of her body
- clothing which completely conceals profile of body in every photo
- complete disregard for tell-tale signs of high bodyfat - can't even see the shape of her shoulder, face padding, chubb directly above the knee, protruding muffin, etc
- shots with context clues which indicate they weren't taken in the last 5 years
- thinking guys will be impressed by the amount of breast exposure when their large rack is mostly adipose tissue
- 20-30 something girls who look like they just broke into mommy's makeup cabinet for the first time
- glamour shots, or other photo shoot which obviously isn't representative of what they look like on an everyday basis.
- laying in seductive pose on bed when they do not have the body to make that choice of pose appealing to men.

If anything else, seeing some of these online profiles gives insight into the female psyche. The less life-experienced women will assume that men think like they do and will fall for the message instead of the packaging.

I don't mean to come off against women who lift - if a woman hits the weights and isn't on steroids she'll never get a build like a MALE powerlifter. Also IMO a male powerlifter physique is very masculine and not to be confused with a couch potato physique.

It ticks me off when women think that just because they lift 180 pounds every step they take they are "athletic".
I don't have anything against women who lift either (unless they need to shave their face as often as their legs, nasty). I'm talking about women who are chunky and call themselves athletic when they can't even climb a flight of stairs.

Ain't that the truth. If you're athletic, lets see pictures of you doing something. A picture of you on a bike, running a race, playing vollyball; hell even a picture just sitting in the lotus position or doing the downward dog. Wait a sec, that didn't come out right...
