Personally I like Casanovas style better. Its more subtle and what what ive been reading more seductive.

That's what I thought . They were all around the same time. From what im reading Don Juan came into play 10 years before Casanova death.

According to this Don Juan was born 250 years earlier then Casanova. And apparently isn't a fictional character.

Don Juan was a compilation of the exploits of multiple Spanish noblemen. Thought this was common knowledge.... Casanova is possibly descended from one of these noblemen
