I notice some people include the bar weight when listing their lifts... is this common practice? Does a bars' weight vary that much, or is there close to a generic standard? I think this can often be the difference between any two individuals listed routines...

The standard is always to add the bar's weight. When you lift weight, you lift all the weight, including the bar.

Bars are typically 45 lbs, and 15 lbs for the curl bars....

225 lbs is the bar + two plates on each side.

315 = 3 plates each side

405 = 4... etc.
