Great work.

Sadly most people can't handle or want to face the truth, the picture you paint is very much the 'average' person.

Much like good old UK - another so called free country, i'd like you to a do a piece on that if you get the chance.

Edit, it was a blog post, shame i'd like to see a UK version.

Yes, and you can prove all this with your mountains of evidence, correct?

What a pathetic bunch of crybaby sh!t.

This blog you reference is but the opinion of ONE liberal weakling who couldn't make the grade in America. And if one word of it was true, the rest of the world would not be risking their lives to come here, as they have always done.

This coward hides behind a stinking pile of defeatist rhetoric aimed at bringing YOU down to his level. "Just give up and move to a country where the government is your mommy and all you have to do is exist." As if there were any triumph in merely existing.

It is easy to justify cowardice and standing on the sidelines of life when you construct a complete system of EXCUSES to assuage that incessant and gnawing feeling in your gut that you are WEAK, have no AMBITION to become bigger than yourself and you simply DO NOT MAKE THE GRADE.

No one promised you life would be easy. No one promised you that everything would be taken care of. You think you have it bad? My grandfather, the youngest of 13 children, was born into the type of abject poverty that would kill off weak and effeminate men like this "blogger". He grew up in a house with dirt floors, as a nobody who seemed destined for oblivion. As a poor young man, his teeth were so bad that he pulled them out with a set of needlenose pliers. Two weeks before a contract offer arrived from the Pittsburgh Pirates, he was drafted and served his country in WWII. Upon returning, he was one of millions of veterans who came home with nothing to build on save for the petty cash in their pockets. And yet despite all his horrifying hardships and awful luck, when he passed away in 1981, he had a seven figure net worth, he was a pillar of his community, and over 1200 people showed up for his funeral, to render their respect for this man who had overcome impossible odds and inspired them greatly. To this day, his name is spoken with great reverence, as though he were in the next room. It's still his name on the mailbox, in the phonebook, and in the recorders' office, and he has been dead for nearly 30 years. Such is my grandmother's RESPECT for this great man and the life he led.

To become a man such as my grandfather, is the essence of SoSuave's message. It is not merely about trivial distractions like picking up women, it is about being MAN ENOUGH to create yourself into something sunlike and great, despite the entire world telling you why you can't. And America is the last place on God's green earth where a man can do this, where a man may by his own power of WILL, DETERMINATION, and SELF-CONFIDENCE create himself into whatever he wills to become.

And what of the man who concedes defeat in the face of struggle and hopelessness? In the end, he shall have his reward as well.

Only in America, indeed.

While I admire the story of your grandfather it doesn't change the fact that in the most powerful country in the world a lot of people can't go to the doctor for the fear of financial ruin, and all in the name of supporting Israel and financing the military so that it continues to kill innocent people all over the world.

In America there's more money for war than for books and health care for its people.

Let me preface this by saying that I couldn't rep you - apparently, I need to spread it around a little bit.

I remember being a little kid and my grandfather telling me about the depression in America. He was 13 years old at the worst of it and worked a plow from dawn until dusk. He told me about how he cried himself to sleep because his legs hurt so bad. It's funny now to see people b1tch about how they only have 20 some odd paid days off. Ungrateful fvcks. Goodbye to the greatest generation, our grandfathers.

On another note, let me take my paranoid ass over to my safe to check out my AK-47 and numerous pistols; find that sh1t in the rest of the Western world...

just so you know, Julius here is one of the pawns who went over to Iraq to serve and protect his country. LOL!
So we're dealing with a mindless patriot.

And your post is a bunch of womanly shaming techniques because you dismiss everything and try to induce shame without ONE logical counterargument.

This blog you reference is but the opinion of ONE liberal weakling who couldn't make the grade in America. And if one word of it was true, the rest of the world would not be risking their lives to come here, as they have always done.
The fact that many people do one thing does not neccessarily mean that that thing is good.
And not one word is true? Please! You're only reinforcing my first words: that you're an indoctrinated, mindless patriot.

Think about this: patriotism is the manipulation of one's natural instinct of loving and protecting his shelter into fighting for other people's vanity.

That author does attempt to idealize the rest of the world, which I also dislike.

It is easy to justify cowardice and standing on the sidelines of life when you construct a complete system of EXCUSES to assuage that incessant and gnawing feeling in your gut that you are WEAK, have no AMBITION to become bigger than yourself and you simply DO NOT MAKE THE GRADE.

there are two choices one has: work hard and grow in a place where your efforts are being supported or work hard in a place where so many elements fight against you.

Many choose the second option and blame the others for being defeatist and choosing the 'easier' path. I see this 'hero' attitude in my country as well.
''Ok, fellas,'' I say. ''You stay in a miserable place and fight with the windmills and I will saddle up and ride away at the first opportunity of going somewhere where the government won't try to screw me in the ass.''

very nice job cheapening your grandfather's achievement by bringing the subject up in this topic. I remember you mentioning him way back in another thread and he was a real inspiration.

Your little story carries little weight now simply because those were different times. Also, your grandfather's options of relocating were extremely limited compared to the ones we have today.
Do you think he wouldn't have considered moving abroad if he lived today?

Any logical argument why America is THE place of unlimited achievement? (The 'everything is possible in America' cliche is not a valid argument)

And what of the man who concedes defeat in the face of struggle and hopelessness? In the end, he shall have his reward as well.

There are many, many people in the military. Some are dumb, some are brilliant, some are patriots, some are not.

You sir, however, are an idiot. Collect your prize at the door

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee

What about 9/11. was it really the terrorists or was it engineered by the government?
It was terrorists. We've been through this a billion times before.

http://www.loosechangeguide.com/LooseChangeGuide.html

This article is full of holes. First off, "I've been to the hospitals and they are better"...okay, what was the author in the hospital for? Any doctor can treat a sniffle or a rash with a scrip and a 2 week follow-up. Did the author ever have anything SERIOUS happen to him? (heart attack, broken bones) Or any chronic condition? (cancer, etc) How was treatment THEN??

What's wrong with genetically enhanced meat? If scientists d!ck around with a few genes so my steak is more tender and contains more protein, what's the big deal? And as for HFCS...Barack Obama doesn't tell you what to put in your mouth. That's a personal and cultural decision. It's not Congress's fault that the OP was a poor-diet fatass when he was here.

As for the politics, the only person I have seen bash Fox News more than that while ignoring the rest of the scam-media (CNN, MSNBC, etc) is Seth MacFarlane.

Europe more free?? Where you have to be 21 and have a permit to buy a kitchen-knife? Where they put up speed cameras on every corner and talk about putting GPS in your car so they can auto-fine you whenever you exceed the limit? Or maybe we should go to Australia, where they ALREADY have "auto-marriage" for cohabitating couples.

Maybe you haven't read about the state of European economies...they've been running this socialist crap for a while now, and they're all running out of money and have been having to implement austerity programs and cut back spending DRASTICALLY to avoid folding. The US economy is overdrawn, all right. But maybe you didn't catch what happened in Greece.

The social schism in US society, the widening "poverty gap" is a result of Americans being lazy. Most see the conditions over in Europe and think, "Why can't we have that here?" Because Europeans have a generally better attitude. They BELIEVE in working for their livings, their companies, and their countries, and their companies and countries believe in working for THEM.

If there's a big problem here in America, it's that everyone here is "me-first" when it comes to "getting stuff", but doesn't want to GIVE a damned thing to get it.

All of the Europeans I've dealt with (and maybe it's just because I dealt with them through business) have had strong work-ethics. Europeans are decent people because they DON'T PUT UP with people who aren't. There, if you fail to provide value, you're pretty much cast out. Here, you complain to your senator and you get free money, free housing, free food, etc. It's the "sh!tty stuff", but in a culture of "lazy", it's good enough.

That's the thing about "freedom"...it only helps you if you're responsible enough to WORK for what you want. That's why most Americans are poor...because most Americans think they should get something for nothing.

And just because the author has lived in the "nice parts" of Europe doesn't mean he's seen everything. There are poor people there as well...they just hide them better. I'm not impressed.

Bush has been out of office for about 2 years now. It's not cool any more. You can give it a rest.

The entire Iraq war was for Israel, all other reasons are BS and was done under a stupid president.
I don't think the US cares about Israel as much as you think. They support Israel to destabilize the middle east, the richest and easiest region to get oil from.

I'm starting to wonder if our current President is just as dumb.
With the war machine so large, do you think he can do anything about it? Kennedy tried, and he was killed. He was VERY anti-military complex.

As a side note, Julius, I get an impression of you that you are the type of person I would like to challenge to a boxing match. Maybe you would kick my a$$, but I just want to see what you are really made out of offline. And I don't mean this in a disrespectful way.
