High value does not just meant wealth. This connotation keeps being misused constantly. It means you're a high value male in terms of all the aspects that makes you the complete package. That athlete likely watched a lot of porn where he saw blondes like that constantly so he is already obsessed with her on a superficial level. This already places him in the bluepill category cause his tongue is hanging out his mouth listening to his d*ck instead of using his brain [but like most athletes, he never had to use that in school].

I don’t see much cope or hate. She may be in the top 5% of women but he is more like top 1% of men (at least by the shallow standards of our culture, which idolizes celebrities and pro athletes). So yeah, he settled.
