AFC Father's any1?

It hurts my heart to write this message because to me this is really deep.

I think everybody look's up to their fathers, if we were lucky we had a great

father's, who cared for us, who were positive masculine role models in life,

laying down the foundations and helping to guide us through life, because

they have seen it, with all the knowledge, wisdom and experience.

Well unfortunately in my case, this wasn't the reality.

I just noticed that my father is an total AFC, I was sleeping in my room when

I heard noises down below in the Kitchen. I went down to see what was going

on and , and there he was...... All drunk moving sideways, making loud noises,

tipsy and totally drunk.

He then hugged me and said "Son, do you love me?" I replied after a long

silence" a little" (because me and him doesn't really have close relations).

Well after that he just started "crying" with this burst of emotion on my

shoulder and told me that he caught my MOTHER CHEATING on him.

To me this was no surprise, tsk tsk tsk, only if he would have known.

He said "Your mother is going out with a more powerful, richer guy, and I

caught them!" Then kissed me on the cheek and left.

Now it sadden's me to see this 40 year old man, still lost and confused not

understanding that it was his OWN fault. The man had no passion for life,

didn't spend anytime with her wife, didn't spend time with himself either

life for him was just boring, same stuff different day, usual.

Now some of you guys might have a different prospective on this but, I am

GLAD that "My Mother Moved On" to a different guy.

What's everybody's take on this? Does anybody else have had a similar

experience like this one?

I think you need to stfu and give the poor guy a break.

He just caught his wife cheating after all those years behind his back and has lost his whole life.

Understand where you're coming from, but dude, have some sympathy and help the guy out with getting his life back, which you're in an amazing position to do right now. Sometimes something has to fully break before you can really fix it.

I don't understand all the harsh words directed at the OP here. Yes, the woman was a wh0re for cheating, but I'm 99% sure that his father grew into a complacent chump in the marriage which would explain her desire to cheat.

well my father is a raging AFC who doesnt have the balls to follow thru and leave my possibly BPD mother even after she has cheated multiple times, one of which i told him about. hard to respect him or her after that. at this point im just concerned with continuing to reform myself and make sure i dont fall into the same trap as him, he has to wake up and smell the coffee on his own, i tried to help him and he didnt follow thru so its a lost cause at this point. this should be moved to general discussion though, not tips.

He is your father and you are criticisim him when the only thing that you have in favor is that you find this forum..... Tell me what would you be now if you have not read the dj bible, think about it and don`t critizice.

Just to give you a little update on the situation Guys.

1st I talked to my mother, she wasn't CHEATING on him, she was just having

a business talk with his work associate having couple of drinks.

2nd My dad beat up my mother, she got 4 stitches on her lip and is totally

horrible, I can't even look at it, there are blue marks all over her body!

3rd They are breaking up, thank god, she deserves a better!

I think any man who lay's a hand on their loved ones is pathetic, and should

be ****ing punished in the worst way possible!

Since when Afcs beat their women? sounds more like a jerk than a afc especially since you said that he had no passions in life and did nothing all the day.
