A quick question about something stupid..

First of all I got a bit of social anxiety and have a tough time dealing with these situations, so need a little advice.

Big lecture class room, I know a kid.. We are just acquaintances but we sat next to each other since we knew no one else in the class.. But recently I met this chick that im kinda interested in in the same class that is completely unrelated to the other kid.

Who do I sit next to? Is it rude to ditch the acquaintance? Or how do I sit next to both of them?

While the room is still seating, talk to one of them and have them sit with you by the other. Problem solved, just make sure to include both of them in the conversation.
