A question about mindset

This is my first post after being a lurker here for a short while, and in that time have come to feel that mindset in the long term is better than techniques/strategies. The thing that troubles me is how to go about acquiring the 'DJ Mindset'. I've been over it time and again and I can't seem to stick to any one way of thinking.

Can anyone give some advice on how to go about this, even giving examples from your own experiences in becoming the DJ that you are today?

I gotta admit I'm in the same situation as the poster here. I'm more up front, I block off contact without thinking twice. But I still fall for that oneitis bull**** after like a date or two with a girl I think is relatively good looking. It's annoying, any tips for this? Message me or reply, thanks in advance.
