Yeah I don't like this decade at all either. Bush/Cheney in charge, memorable movies are too much of a rarity, the rock/alternative music feels sterile and there's no redeemable mainstream music scene like there was in the 90s, and everybody seems glued to their computer screens.

I read this four years ago. It really is a very good book. I should pull it out and read it again some time. Gets a bit......different, towards the end though, heh.

Where do you live? It's easy to say that when you live in a country the size of a US state surrounded by other coutries that are a train ride away. It takes a lot for an american to travel abroad. I know people who've wanted to but have never been able to because of finances.

The whole "it's healthy for you" thing is bullsh*t perpetrated by the tanning industry. It's only good or you to a certain point, and that point is well before you get any kind of tan. You'll look older sooner and increase your chance of skin cancer. So enjoy.

People here don't "hate" women. They just advocate seeing them as being more flawed and shallow than women profess to be, and dealing with them accordingly.

I bought this book over four years ago and still have yet to read it. I think I tried starting a couple times but something inside me say "this is just bullsh*t" and put the book down. I need to pull it out of my closet and give it another shot.
