What kind of music do you put on when you're with *HER* in the car, or at home? Any specific albums? Thanks.

Enigma is too fvcking played out. It's just as cliched as Barry White and Marvin Gaye.. every numbnut DJ-wannabe uses that crap.

go with the old school as mentioned above..

Kruder/ Dorfmeister
Tosca
Peace Orchestra
Antonio Carlos Jobim
Astrud Gilberto
Ella Fitzgerald
Sam Cooke
some Jamiroquai remixes are good too..

this will set you apart - very cool, sophisticated, and most importantly not cliched or played out.

Personally, I just listen to my rock music when I'm with girls. I really don't care what they think.

David DeAngelo recommended that I play Hip Hop and Disco when I'm with a girl, though, so I guess it all depends. Sade is very nice.

Miles?

Don't get me wrong, Miles is probally the most incredible musician of the century.

Girls hate him though. I've never met a girl who could listen to Pharaoh's Dance or *****'s Brew.

Maybe his earlier stuff would work. Stay away from the fusion. Sketches of Spain might also be too much for a girl...remember, it has to be real simple for them.

damn, I forgot Goldfrapp.. that freak is hot and money.

peace,

about the Miles - everything before *****es Brew should be OK - to be totally safe just stick with everything up to and including "Kind of Blue' everything he did with the first great quintet is real money as far as the ladies go.

peace,

when Miles Davis screams
Naoko's skin becomes a mean electric
we let it roll on through forty seven minutes of Pharoah's Dance and *****'s Brew
she asked me to buy some acid off my friends
I said there is no need
Miles can suck you and soak you
flutter and funk you

in the morning, her skin is no longer electric, but cool like a captured and bottled breeze

I recently came across a disc that I honestly believe got me from basement pool table to bedroom, which other wise may have been a little tricky. She actually said "your taste in music has me rather interested."

I usually go with something like Dave Matthews Band. It's not anything romantic, but it sets a very relaxed mood. I've never met a women who didn't like DMB.

Whats that song from american beauty they played before the father and that 16 year old were about to have sex. It was played when it was raining and the 16 year said "your daughter is angry at me cuz I said I think you're hot".

Anyone know?

Since I'm sure all of you have Ipods or some sort mp3 player, I'd suggest you make mp3 playlists with compilations for every type of mood you'd want. You could do this on a sunday morning when you're bored. If you want to create a chilled out mood and it's night, pull up your playlist of chillout downtempo music. If she's the kind of girl that likes stuff like John Mayer, Coldplay and Dave Matthews, then have some of that kind of stuff on a playlist. If she's a sophisitcated lady, then maybe have some jazz and brazilian music like Bebel Gilberto. If she's the club hits girl type, then have some hiphop club hits on a playlist. Easy stuff.
