I hope I can bring some inspiration with this writing I wrote the other day. Comes straight from the heart...

There are times in my life when the smallest things can make you wonder about the bigger things that surrounds them. Nobody has always been the greatest person they could be, but what we should try to do is be honest with ourselves. Our mind tends to wander far from us when times aren't what they seem. We still can be bitter-- too stubborn to see what we have. We may have taken great strides to make it our mission to blame the contents of the present from the misery of my past. We've ached and dreamt of days where we could block the rays of burning hardship from our already beaten souls. But sometimes we never stop to wonder how it truly affects us. Because although we seem strong from the walls that we put up; what stands behind those walls are only getting weaker through time.
As we greet each day, we are faced with the reminders of yesterday, the minutes of heart wrenching thoughts, the things that pushed us into a state of bitterness. But like they say, things are never what they seem. And it's almost always true when it comes to pain filled emotions. As we grow into the men we want be: We are learning that we have to be patient with our feelings in order to patient with ourselves, our situations, and the people who we care about the most. Growth is a process that time can't effect, growth comes when you can learn from what you put yourself into. We need to realize that life is truly a choice, because everything we do we choose to do on our own terms, regardless of what may have influenced those terms, it still does not change the fact that we choose to do what we did. When we love and then hurt, it was us who allowed ourselves to love, and it's still us who allowed ourselves to be hurt. I hope we can understand now that everything we do is on ourselves, and will always be on ourselves.
