Just finished "The Undoing" 2019 and "Crown, Season 4", 2020. Like Wayward Pines (2014) in middle of that series.

Succession. I finished the first season. Nice but not something to brag about.

Severance is a good one.

Watching telly is a waste of time and your life. Focus on building your life instead of being addicted to be entertained all the time.
Read books and get "smarter".

One day not far from now you will be begging god for just 5 seconds more as take your last breath.
Make sure to make every second count in your life and do not waste it on mind numbing entertainment which these days are also filled with leftist propaganda where they (e.g. the establishment/government etc.), are attempting to program your mind and to think the way their consider you should think.

Now watching a movie is not wrong. I'm not saying that; but it should be on your own terms where you yourself have chosen it and when you really want it. Not some random bs on TV...

Yeah, I've noticed especially these days a lot of TV and movies are just a useless waste of time. There are some good series here and there though, if you look for them. I guess the classics that stand the test of time are few and far between.

Really though, reading can be just as much of a waste of time. Although reading is a good skill to have, and especially for younger people, it's good to read to hone that skill. But you can be reading some slop novel, feeding your face and not get off the couch to get some exercise or work done, and it can be just as bad as TV.

I've been watching Mad Men (this is my favorite tv series) and the Lost Treasures of Egypt on the National Geographic channel. I'm making the trip next month and am very excited to see it all myself.

I've been rewatching Archer, but I'll probably stop around season 6 or 7.

Cmon man. If you're talking about binging/marathoning, yes I absolutely agree. But if you watch a 20 minute show while you cook/eat dinner? Whats the problem. Do you not watch movies either?

Literally no one doesn't "waste time" occasionally with pleasurable things like movies, video games, etc on occassion.

What the hell do you do when eating dinner? Just stare at the wall? There is a case to be made for doing that, from an Eastern perspective, but I don't see how that's any less of a "waste of time" than it would be doing it while watching a show.

Why not read a book you learn something from instead?
20 minutes each day for a year is over 5 days of your life spent on watching TV. Over lets say just 10 years that is 50 days of your life wasted on mostly filling your brain with junk you cannot remember.

If you use that time wisely instead to something useful then only on reading a book for 20 minutes will put you way head of your competition. The power of the compounding effect is not something one should take lightly.

Why do you need to be entertained while eating dinner?
Why are you so addicted to it?

To be with oneself and being totally fine with being within your own skin and with doing "nothing" is a very powerful thing to do and very healthy too.
Being entertained stops you from really thinking, when you have nothing but yourself that is where you start thinking, when you have to face yourself.
