A must read for DON JUANS

Never walk up to a woman and start a question with

WILL
HAVE
DID
ARE
COULD
WOULD
DO
IS
CAN

These will only give you a YES or NO answer and then where does the conversation go?

Start of each question with:

WHAT
WHEN
WHY
WHERE
WHO
TELL ME
GIVE

These will force the women to talk and elaborate which will give you more time to be funny, and more importantly find out more about them. Here is an example...

What do you like most about drama class?
Why is it important to have a boyfriend?
Tell me more about your past experiances....
Give me an idea of what you are looking for in life...
Who is your favorite actor? WHY?

You get the point. This will amaze you and HER>

a few more..

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IF I HAD NEVER MET YOU BEFORE?

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST QUALITIES? AND WHY? (Dont forget the power of "why")

HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT CHOOSING YOUR WARDROBE? (they will love this one)

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CLOTHING DESIGNER?

WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE? ...AND WHY?

WHO IS THE MOST EXCITING PERSON YOU KNOW?

hey Ragnar those second set of questions would make me feel like i'm at a job interview, it's too planned, that makes it too fake and unnatural.

The five "W"s, one of the most important thing a DJ must know.

And yes, the questions you said sound like an interview, but if you'll ask them in the convo, there aren't so bad.

I don't mean to use these questions as you are interviewing someone. Let them flow naturally........YOU wouldn't ask them all at once.......You would also reframe the questions to make them more personal.....these are JUST EXAMPLES.

Apparently the age of this forum is younger than I had expected...

Sometimes when I aproach a woman, I sometimes give some type of off the wall remark. Example. I'll look at her outfit and say, damn, I came this close to wearing the exact same thing tonight. It sure would have been emberassing for you if I did. Unless she dosent get it, or whatever. 99% of the time it gets a laugh. That breaks the ice, and I can go from there.

This is a great topic, Ragnar. For a lot of us, the Approach is always the most difficult part. Asking questions that are interesting or funny...but only get us a "Yes" or "No" answer make things even tougher. The chick's interest goes up, but then we have to follow with something just as entertaining.

Ragnar has the right idea in asking questions that make the woman elaborate to provide more information for you to process. The only suggestion I have is stay away from starting a question with "Why"? This word makes people feel defensive, like they are being scolded or interrogated. I rarely use it anymore.

I think the reason the word "Why" is so charged is because our parents and teachers used it so much when we were caught doing something we shouldn't. Lots of women have had worse experiences than us. It is better not to trigger those experiences, if we can help it.

Review some questions you come up with using "Why", then rephrase them using another word. See for yourself how it can make you defensive. Now, make it a point to see how you feel when people during the normal course of the day ask a question starting with "Why".

It has been real helpful to me to drop this word.

LOL, that's why people say "What for" instead of "Why", I guess.

Here's another word you should try:

HELLO
