1) RSD forums used to be the most active but they no longer exist since RSD went in their new direction as life coaches.

2) RooshVForum still exists but since Roosh turned religious there’s nothing remotely about seduction/pickup on there anymore. It might as well be dead.

3) NextASF Died in May 2019 due to lack of site traffic.

4) TheAttractionForums used to be popular but I just discovered today they no longer exist either! Does anyone know when their forum died?

5) SoSuave is the only forum that is still alive today.

Firstly why do you think all these forums have been dying off and what has made SoSuave outlive them all?

Does anyone have any memories of using any of these old forums in the past? We’re there some you preferred more than others?

All we have now is this site and the Reddit Seduction group that is fairly active but can be extremely cringey at times.

The only reason I have stayed on this forum for so long (have an older account that I locked) is because it's different. Not sure what it is exactly, but what can be found here is timeless. There's also a lot of guys with actual success on here, not just a bunch of keyboard jockeys. There is an owner to this forum, but as far as I know he's behind the scenes rather than directly participating and influencing the forum. This place lives its own life, it's us, the users who make it what it is. This forum for the most part happens to attract the type of guys who make it and will stick around to help the newbies.

Yeah, just did a google search and browsed through a few places, and some of them the majority of last posts date back to last year sometime, with the odd post sometime this year. This is the most active place that I'm at. It's more like a tug of war between the blackpill and the redpill. I feel the loss of these boards, and lack of interest in other PUA sites simply means the blackpill is becoming more dominant than the redpill as time progresses and people just give up. Even this board, with posters like @MatureDJ, and what I'm seeing elsewhere, I think it's a matter of time before the blackpill takes over here too.

I feel like it's already happening. I don't see that many posts about pursuing women on here. The PUA sites actually had things like FR's and pickup strategies...this board is now about incels, simps, OLD, and random stories about single moms. I'm not necessarily complaining. But the PUA stuff was outdated a long time ago, "game" has progressed and there is a bigger division between haves and have nots (technology changed everything).

What makes or breaks a forums are the members. I've always noticed a wide range of opinions, life experiences, interests/hobbies, and political viewpoints on sosuave which has allowed it to remain relevant to the times....

For example, we have discussions about pickup, redpill, blackpill/incel, political viewpoints, hobbies, finance, etc from guys of all ages and locations....

As long as the site encourages discussions beyond just talking about dating dynamics, sosuave can remain relevant. If the site becomes too heavy-handed in imposing censorship then the site will slowly die as members start looking for other communities for discussions.....

Back in 1998, I was a member of newsgroup called fastseduction. It's probably been twenty years since I've visited the site. After reading this topic, I did a search and it's still there. Nothing there seems to have changed. There's still some guy named Ray that a lot of members didn't care for. And just like before, half the postings aren't about "pick up" but instead about their dislike toward this member. I'm surprised that it's still around.

Just check the website...looks like allot of recently posted threads at least on the first page. Not a shell of the past like other sites with a bunch of dated posts.
Some of the Roosh guys went there

Cause the average man finally understood that its not about what you do or say but what you are (wheter you are born it or became it through many efforts).

Youtube, tinder and free forums where men share their experience made any intelligent being to realize that wining and dining girls while spitting game wont get you laid unless you are well made physically and of decent status...and if you are well made physically and of decent status you dont need "game" anyway as long as you dont screw up.

I dont bother talk about game from years, I would rather talk about how to recognize interested girls from uninterested ones and most of all how to globally improve so girls will be one of the many benefits.

There is no "game" that gets you the women, there is only improving your overall value and women are one of the perks coming with it.

A lot of PUA and seduction was tied into the night game as a fairly dominant medium for getting pusssy. Due to the Millennial generation having poor social skills, night game has been falling out of favor and websites and later apps surpassed night game. A lot of the early stages of interactions now are done behind electronic screens, which is bad. This isn't something that started with the pandemic, it has been picking up steam for at least a decade pre-pandemic. Bars have been hosting more bullshiit swipe app dates on Tuesday at 8 PM where the guy is looking to stick it in the chick's pusssy as compared to the late Friday night/early Saturday morning scene where the guy is looking to get the same night lay at the bar.

If you look at how extended relationships are forming, every form of interaction is being replace by swipe apps and websites like Match and OurTime for the 50+ set. Fewer people are meeting through the social circles for a variety of reasons. Social circles are getting weaker for a variety of reasons. People's high school and college relationships tend to dissipate by age 30 in most cases. Night game is not what it was even 15 years ago, let alone when the 1990s classic movie "Swingers" came out. In the broader society, meeting a stranger at a non-bar venue like a gym/fitness class, grocery store, mall, or even a co-ed sports league is a rarer event.

I think YouTube has replaced these avenues, for as much demand in PUA is still lurking around. And in general, PUA has shifted over to Red Pill, and thus has gone from a cookbook (i.e., do this and pick up chicks) to a code of life (i.e., be the best you can be, don't take sh!t, it's a numbers game, etc.) We are victims of the same social disease (e.g., feminism, hypergamy, etc.) as our Incel brethren, but the difference is that we haven't totally given up.

Whatever life night game had had has become totally obliterated by OLD.

I'm not sure. I wish I had discovered SS sooner, because I started out with RSD (yuck) - their forums were the most toxic place on the "manosphere" that I've ever been to. After RSD, I went to RooshV for a while, which was a godsend of advice on both pickup and red pill philosophy. But now that RooshV is dead, I migrated here, and I'm finding SS to have a more balanced/grounded perspective; while redpill concepts are common knowledge here, they aren't typically forced down your throat as an irrefutable truth.

As for why the other communities died, its probably due to a mixture of false expectations, failure to adapt to the changing social climate, blackpill/true MGTOW indifference, and some toxic/negative behavior from places like RSD.

There are a decent amount of redpill content creators (Rollo, Coach Red Pill, and Richard Cooper) that are still active, although many others such as Chateau Heartiste were shut down, the obvious reason for that is that they were too "blackpill" for the PC-infested world to accept. However, I am not very interested in learning PUA/red pill philosophy from youtubers/bloggers; I much prefer having real discussions with people, because that's the only way you can grow a philosophy and knowledge base - through discussion and discourse, not being told what to think.

Red Pill really isn't PUA - the latter of which I define as techniques to manufacture interest in plates - but rather deals with "this is the way women are" and the ideas that self-improvement is the key to more success, and that management of the woman is important (e.g., not letting her get away with sh!t). IOW, Red Pill proclaims that tricks don't work, and that only holistic improvement can increase one's success.

And yes, Black Pill is a combination of Red Pill and the realization that the environment for success (at least for non-Chads) is extraordinarily difficult these days - and hence rubs elbows with Incel Pill, but with the key difference that non-Incel Black Pill men are stoic about the situation whereas Incel Pill men internalize the situation as being due to them being losers.

Game used by Chad still works - although Chad would still succeed even without game - but its utility for Normies has all but been extinguished, unless we define "success" as being successful with fatties or single mommies .

I disagree. PUA is a subset of Redpill. I can google search the term, and even have on on this link here: https://incels.wiki/w/Redpill
You are free to come up with a link to the contrary. What I understand Red-pill is in contrast with Blue-pill as for the 00s decade you only had Red-pill vs Blue-pill to work with. Remember the 00s? You had AFC which contrasted with PUA/DJ. You can't re-define these basic ideas because the world around changed and other definitions were introduced.

Blue-pill contrast sounds like the old school AFC who would supplicate to a woman, buy her flowers, take her out on various dates with the hope that she'll submit to you as a man. Also in that old school, emphasized of course getting a good education and job, being successful and in general following the rules, then you'll end up with a woman. Build and they shall come type of mentality.

The Red-pill would contrast when Blue-pillers get friendzoned or chucked because the woman is either bored or he's just in a fixed provider role. Allot of old concepts in the 00s decade could overlap with the current paradigm, but there was no term like "chucked', maybe AMOGed, etc... The terms beta and alpha were in that old vocabulary and the Red-pill identified alphas and betas, while the Blue-pill has no such thing. Blue-pill is the Disneyland princess, find your oneitis and live happily ever after, etc....

So when you tell me holistic self-improvement is Red-pill, then it sounds Blue-pill with me. If you say techniques to manufacture interest in plates, that's clearly Red-pill since techniques which make you more socially fluid and calibrated is a type of confident self-improvement that's clearly in the Red-pill zone.

It just seems everything has gone full circle and the Blue-pill is being repackaged with an add on here and there to make it sound like it's DJ. But, how do you contrast the current paradigm with old Blue-pill? Do you think 20 years was simply wasted in nonsense and the Blue-pill was right all along?

I'm not sure that's how I read that on Incel-Tv channel. The incel would claim that non-incel Black pillers are coping or everything is a cope. Its a question as to whether non-Incel Black pill men, aka, MGTOW are really in denial and coping, or if Incel Black-pill are really losers (ie. is that what MGTOW is saying of incels?). I personally don't see much of a difference between an escortcel, for example, and a MTGOW that's fed up with women but visits prostitutes? Which one of the two is the loser, and which on is in denial/coping?

Exactly. I feel like a lot of the other forums have been too monotone, it's communities of like-minded circlejerkers and if you don't agree you get pushed out. On this forum there's a bit too much variety to reach that state and that's a good thing. There are some things there's more or less consensus on, then there's the more controversial topics leading to massive threads discussing it and that's what gives this place life.
