Hey guys what's up

I do noFap streaks on a regular basis, my longest streak is 55 days.
It has helped me a lot, but to see a difference, you have to be patient. No, It doesn't give superpowers, but it can help you to become a better man.
NoFap "monk style" includes: no porn, no instagram chicks or any kind of sub-porn, Tinder is a sub-porn... No edging, it's really important.
NoFap is not only physical, it's psychological. I have nothing against fapping, I can fap 5-6 times a day easy. It's just that I prefer the person I am when I don't fap.

This is what I've noticed from my personal experience, usually you start noticing a difference after 6-7 days. After the flatline, you see a real difference.

-increased energy
-better mood, less depressed
-deeper voice
-less social anxiety
-positive mind
-better body language
-better overall look
-better game/less neediness
-girls are more attracted, they can feel it
-more testosterone
-increase in strength and muscles
-better eye contact
-increased focus/discipline
-less approach anxiety, razor sharp approaches

I'm starting a new streak, day 1 is almost over. I got lazy since I installed Tinder a month ago. I saw a girl I was really attracted to at school today, I didn't approach, I freezed and I regretted it. Later, I approached a girl I find really hot that I had seen before, she was with 3 friends, I did the approach but it was weak. I had a bad day today, my mood was ****ty.

I will use this thread as a journal (thoughts, approaches, dates...). Guys who don't believe in noFap, please keep my thread clean. For others, don't be shy to comment or ask questions. Let's see if I can reach 60 days. If I get laid, it's not a reset since it's not a semen retention challenge.

Today's thoughts
-I feel old
-I have no time
-I doubt I will reach my goals
-I will never fvck my dream girls, the girls I really want.

Guys who don't believe in NoFap, please keep my thread clean
There's been other threads on this topic that have been quickly derailed by members who are quick to judge, criticize, or dismiss it. I agree that these members should stay out of this thread, or at least avoid drawn out conversations debating the efficacy of NoFap.

I'm neither for or against NoFap, but I think it could be an interesting experiment to have a thread where members can actually give it a shot, and report & journal their subjective experiences without being drowned out by overly opinionated or close-minded members.

I don't know the exact amount of days, but I think the longest I went without touching my unit was a few days short of 40 (I did have sex in that timespan though). If I recall, the primary benefit I experienced was higher levels of concentration (less brain fog), which increased my productivity... I felt more dialed in -- whether it was dialed in studying for school, or just my presence in social situations.

I think I'll give it a shot again just for the sake of beating my previous record. I'll still sleep with plates though.

As long as its a vent against not having a gf then as an incel vent. As other incels have vented worst, then isnt it a mild vent in comparison to other types of vents?

You mentioned you had a streak of 55 days. I'm curious about contrasting NoFap streaks among guys who are getting laid regularly vs. guys who don't have a sexual outlet. In one case, you have someone going without an orgasm for 55 days, and in the other the guy is still getting a release.

I would think that it would be a lot easier to put together a long streak if you're having sex on a fairly regular basis, but maybe I'm misreading things.

I achieved 113 days without PMO, hard mode, and i can tell you that to me it changed my life, the way i held my frame, the way i produced at work, everything.

I do believe tho that this is not for everyone, as i was a porn addict and NoFap does not give you superpowers, just put you in the place of a normal person as you were once before addiction.

Still struggling against my addiction, but winning every day.

For sure zekko, i went all my streak without having a sexual outlet and at the start it was hell, after i got used to it and it became normal. When one has a sexual outlet, their challenge becomes easier but it is not the best way to do it, specially if you think about porn while doing intercourse.

NoFap is not a cult, NoFap ain't gonna give you powers, NoFap will restore your brain as it was before addiction, you experiment what being a "normal" person is like, and if you add good habits to this, besides NoFap, when you complete the challenge you will be different, because you produced more, that leads you to be more confident about you, making you lead your own life and influence others.

My NoFap practice is much easier when I am getting laid regularly. I still NoFap when not getting laid, but the no differences in terms of aggressiveness when approaching are minimized after about 3 weeks. There have been occasionally fap/porn re-lapses.

When I do NoFap long enough, I no longer desire to watch porn or fap.

I will highlight in orange which of these experiences from the original post I've had with NoFap after flat line.

-increased energy
-better mood, less depressed
-deeper voice
-less social anxiety
-positive mind
-better body language
-better overall look
-better game/less neediness
-girls are more attracted, they can feel it -- to some extent, though I think this gets reduced the longer a NoFap streak goes.
-more testosterone
-increase in strength and muscles
-better eye contact
-increased focus/discipline -- only for a few weeks, then I need vag to feel that
-less approach anxiety, razor sharp approaches

What I wrote on JAN 18 2020, after having completed 90 days hard-mode:

  • Live life with 100% honesty
  • Periodic, acute feelings of inner peace and gratitude
  • I have identified and pursued more goals in the past 90 days than I did in the last 5 years, combined.
  • Feel renewed sense toward the spiritual: I pray to God almost daily
  • Feel more connected and sociable: I look more people in the eye, smile, and say hello
  • I am more focused on accepting and forgiving
  • Quit smoking weed cold turkey
  • Desire for alcohol is greatly diminished
  • I have a LOT more more energy (I don't remember the last time I yawned)
  • I'm more physically fit: I train with weights and cardio, with greater focus and intensity, usually 4-5Xs a week, sometimes up to 2 hours per training session
  • I sleep better (I don't remember the last time I used an alarm clock to wake up)
  • I've become a "morning person": I go to bed early and I wake up early, almost always feeling clear and rejuvenated
  • Minimize use of digital devices, especially in the gym
  • Reduced alprazolam from 2 mg to .25 mg
  • Have made 2 friends and re-connected with a family member
  • Spent the majority of my 2-week Christmas break in peaceful solitude: no consuming of material items; no weed; very little alcohol
  • Have started dating
  • Have endured workplace struggles (slowdown; layoffs; refused to participate in "Boss' Day")
  • Received 2 raises at work (these were companywide raises but it still feels like an accomplishment)
  • Disputed damage done to my vehicle and the dealership repaired it, free of charge
  • Skin texture appears shinier, devoid of dryness and completely non-porous.
  • My eyes appear clear and vibrant
  • Teeth look whiter
  • Eyesight has improved: my eyes rarely feel sore, burning, or scratchy, despite my wearing contacts and staring at a computer screen for 8-10 hours a day; also, I see clearer and farther. Minimal bagginess beneath my eyes has now disappeared.
  • Face looks leaner and more angular (could be due to 10-lb. weight loss but I swear my face has changed structurally...I realize I could be wrong but this is what I feel and see every time I look in the mirror)
  • Countenance appears more relaxed, like somebody just shared a joke; it's like I'm always on the cusp of smiling
  • Posture has improved
  • Fingernails are shinier and grow quicker
  • Less obsessed with body image: I haven't injected testosterone cypionate since December 1, 2019
  • Have reduced my daily caffeine from 6-8 K-cups per day to 2 K-cups per day
  • I feel more appreciative of/connected to nature
  • I'm financially responsible and frugal: I'm hardly interested in/impressed by material things

Most definitely easier to orgasm (from sex) versus "hard mode" (no porn, no masturbation, no orgasm).

I'm not convinced I'll ever choose to go hard mode again for that long.

That's interesting and kudos for you if you are seeing these benefits.

Personally, however, I don't use alcohol, consume weed, or drink 6-8 coffee per day, or take any prescription and also pray daily and have also lost weight due to change of diet, so I have all of the aforementioned benefits you've listed whether I'm fapping or not. This is because fapping is not seen as part of an overall lifestyle but a specific issue so it's sort of divorced such as being in a different category altogether. For example, everything apart from fapping is NON-sexual. Allot of non-sexual category improvements can always be made independent of a sexual issue. I just don't get how a sexual issue is paired with non-sexual components.

To be the devil's advocate, do you think that most of these benefits could be attributed to other changes to your lifestyle such as not consuming alcohol, weed, caffeine and prayer? What would happen if you stopped all of these OTHER issues and continued to fap?

To piggyback off this, @Espi I'm also curious to which of the benefits that you listed you feel may have directly correlated with NoFap, in other words which benefits are you certain without a doubt are exclusive to NoFap only?

Day 2
I must admit I cheated today, I swiped girls on Tinder a bit, my membership is finishing in a few days. After that I will delete the app.

I feel ok, a bit better than yesterday. Still the same limiting beliefs and thoughts, but I know they will fade away as I keep going on noFap.
I approached a girl in the metro today, we got out at the same station and I approached her, I got rejected almost instantly, she wasn't in the mood to be approached. I felt bad for 2 mins and I forgot. I didn't take it personally, approaching in the metro is difficult. At least I did the approach. I'd like go to buy some clothes this weekend if I have time, there are always super hot girls at the malls, I will approach for sure.
While i'm doing noFap, I will stop biting my nails, it's a bad habit I have. I made huge progress in the last few years but still bite them.

Thats it for today.

@corrector congratulations on your achievements.

I'm not sure how/why/if sexual issues can be paired with non-sexual components.

Could be purely psychological/placebo, and if that's the case, I'm 100% OK with it.

All I know is that it worked for me, and others (there's a huge nofap following worldwide).

Sorry if that sounds oversimplified.

I'm having a hard time answering your questions because I'm looking back now to my hard mode odyssey (OCT 2019 to MAR 2020), and it's complex. There was a lot going on in my life then, and I'm not sure how I can answer right now.

Maybe later I can offer more insight.

Day 3

I'm really busy with university and my roommate is back, I'm almost never alone in my room and I have little so it helps. I keep myself busy that's the key. I have a date on friday with a girl I'm "seeing", on saturday I'm supposed to meet a girl I had a story with a year ago, it's not a date but if it goes well we might start to see each other again. Another girl on sunday, same story. We'll see how it goes.

Mood is so so, I keep thinking about the fact that I'm getting older and I'm not where I want to be in my life, not yet. I'm on the good path though. I'm also frustrated about the fact that I have trouble meeting the girls I really like, my type of girls. There are a lot here, but if I rely only on cold approach to meet them it's unlikely to happen. My financial situation is limiting me, I can't live a cool lifestyle right now, you find these girls in trendy spots, with "cool" people. I'm always stuck in front on my computer doing homework and I can't afford to go in those places. It makes me feel like failure, mid thirties and doing homework every night while hot chicks are going out. If I could go to those places, dress up and if I had my own place I would meet and get laid with those girls on a regular basis I'm sure. Now I can't, I have to work on my things and do something serious with my life. I imagine myself wearing nice clothes, meet hot girls in bars and restaurant where I can have a good meal and a few drink and not worry about the money i spend, have fun, you know what I mean? Just enjoy life.
My life is not that bad, but I haven't made it yet. Gotta keep working.

I didn't have the chance to approach today, I stayed home today.

I did nofap once. Only change I had was being more irritable.
