Just got flaked on...because of an essay.

Texting a girl, confusing situation which I won't go into but basically she asks to come round for a chat, hug, whatever etc.

I go back with sure, I'm around, but need to grab a shower and i'll text her when she can head over.

Her response? 'I've just found a good article for an essay I need to write and it's due soon, so maybe I'll see you tomorrow."

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one

If it's legit than that's jokes, if it isn't then it's still jokes!

Needless to say I'm not replying to this one.

Women are weird creatures. They literally change their mind every 5 seconds. So there's a bit of that but also she knows it's going to feel like a missed opportunity for you and its her trying to establish her value. Blank her and she'll probably stay in a huff for a while then eventually her barriers will come down and she'll chase you.

If she's playing games, which it seemed like she was (consciously or sub-consciously), and you recognize it, then it's actually rather easy to flip the switches on her, if done correctly. Most important thing for you is to stick to your guns. Easiest way to do this is to keep busy, and.....wait for it....spin plates. Simply telling a woman that you're busy so you can't see her does wonders in this regard. No need to be an a$$ or get emotional, just keep it civil and just let her know you can't see her at that time. YOU decide when you two are going to meet up. In essence, she should be changing her plans for you, not the other way around.
