The other thing that’s funny about threads like these is that if you’ve been around a while you start developing a bs detector.

Many of these strange posts are written by griefers, trolls, bitter-enders looking to (in their mind) expose some truth or incongruency. I’m convinced many of the new accounts showing up suddenly are from SJW and Grrl Powah forums that think we’re the enemy or something weird like that.

Some of these posts are written by people under the influence or a mind altering substance (like alcohol). Often if you see 3-4 posts from a new account asking offlandish questions in rapid succession - chances are that it’s a drunk or spun poster.

If I find the post mildly amusing I try to redirect it to a place that it actually adds some value to the forum, but self admittedly every now and then I just have fun cutting the poster off at the knees.
