This post is long...so don't say I didn't warn you. :D

I had an interesting expierence yesterday. This is my first year and my second semester enrolled in college. I've taken some pretty tough courses this semester so I've had to study quite a bit, even at school.

Well yesterday I had my usual hour and thirty minute break in between classes. I figured I'd go to the subway thats on campus and get me a sub with roast beef, cheese, and bacon. (mmmm yummy). Well I walk into the lunch area and there's this huge line. I figured it would take me about 10 or 15 minutes to get through the line.

I feel someone tug on my back pack and i turn around and its two girls from my history class. One is a 30 some year old chick, about a high 7 or small 8. Other girl is around 25 I suppose also a 7. We chit chat for a minute or so and they inform me that I can join them for lunch. I was about to accept (I love social proof especially from hot mommies) anywhoo I declinded.

I really didn't want to stand in line any longer because I needed to study so I told them I'd talk to them later. I head to the library and head down to the first floor to one of the study rooms. Drop my things off inside and head to the vending machines and I get a few packs of peanutbutter crackers and a water. I head back inside to the study room and begin reading. I eat while im reading and finish the crackers.

My stomach is still pretty hungry, so I think to myself. "Lord...I sure would like a sub right now, and I imagined how good it would taste and everything. I didn't have the money now to go get one anyways since I spent it on the crackers. For about 10 minutes I thought about nothing except for the food; of course im still reading but in the back of my head I can't help but to keep thinking about how good a sub would taste.

Then........BAM this older guy walks in, I guess he was some sort of business guy at the school. he had a tie on and such. He askes everyone in the room (there were only 3 of us) if we have had lunch yet because he had a bunch of subs that were left over from their meeting and he was wondering if we would like to come get one.

At this point I have the biggest grin on my face. Just thinking about it as I write this gives me chills. I get up and follow the guy and I get a box and a drink. I go back to the study room and open the box. it's got a sub in it, a pack of bbq chips and a cookie. I toss the chips to the side because im trying to stay away from them. Im thinking about the cookie at this point. I'm thinking about how I always go to subway and get there peanutbutter cookies I open the bag and sure enough....peanutbutter.:D

I was getting ready to scream at this point. The joy had over ran my soul and I could not quit smiling. I chowed down hard and it was absolutly delicious. I winded up missing all but 20 minutes of my english class, the instructor didn't care though.

I've said all this to ask a question. Now I know some of you may not be spiritual. But I just can't help but think God heard my prayer, or my thought, whatever you want to call it. The question is if we desire something enough...will it be granted to us. I've heard the theory on desireing before that if you desire something and play it over and over inside your head that it will come true but never like this.

I told some my friends this story and some said...luck...others said coincidence. Or was it that my brain some how subconciously brought forth what I was thinking of and turned it into it's physical equivalent. Did my brain somehow connect with the guys brain sobconciously and tell him to come into that exact room first out of all the other rooms that are in the campus library. Because when I entered the room that the food was in noone else was in there getting the sandwhiches.

I know this may bore some people but I believe others that want to know how the brain works, exc may find this interesting. If anyone else has had something similar to this happen then please reply. Or if you just want to give your thoughts and insights.

*thinks...oh no I havn't givin any advice about women in this entire post...what great sin have I commited* :p

Oh..and I'd like this to stay in the highschool thread since the whole thing took place in a SCHOOL.;) yeah I know...lame excuse. I try mods :)

Interesting post. I do believe in god, I am a christian. But logically you could have heard before that this guy was bringing subs but you forgot so you bought the crackers. I do not claim to know anything about the brain :D This is just a guess.

And thanks for sharing with us your experience.

I did walk by the room heading to the study room and seen a bunch of people eating but it never really crossed my mind. Maybe something happened when I walked by the room? haha..

Feels great doesn't it?

you asked to post if we've had similar experiences, and so I shall.

this whole past week (after reading a book about spirituality that my mom got me) I've been feeling great.

The whole week, something would seem to go wrong, and then, BAM, something else would happen that would make it ok.

Everything was just working out for me, and it seems to have continued into the weekend. Feels great.

Come on guys, I'm sure someone else has experienced this, post about it already.

Well i remember back in elementary I told my friend that we were going into the gym today and were going to get the big red ball out and it will land on so and so's head. (it was just a prediction i said out of the blue cuz i was bored).

Anyways, bingo! It happened. The big red ball landed on so and so's head. I thought i was physic from then on. (i mean when the hell does something like that happen, especially if you predict it).

I know its stupid, but hey its a similar experience. And no I don't believe God did it for me, as well as give you your Subway sandwich to be 20 minutes late to your English class.

Noooooooooooooo!!! not the porn dude!!!!

There was a time when Cent was a very happy little kid with 20gig of the best porn ever on his pc. And then one day in frustration he deleted everything cause he wanted to start anew.

That was the saddest day in his life.

Whenever I look back at that day, I can't stop myself from shedding a tear. One irrational act in the spur of the moment made me destroy the best porn-collection I've ever had.

I think that if you do desire something enough you will get it, in time.

Its happened to me before.

this may be the most depressing thing i've ever read. lmao

there have been books written about this. Uri Gellar, a guy from Europe who is the man who became famous by bending spoons with his mind, wrote a book (which i have) that claims every single human being uses the "dead zone" (the area of your brain that doesn't "seem" to do anything) to predict the future, communicate subconciously etc. i am also firmly a believer of this. i have a friend that moved to the other side of the country. I had never talked to this guy in the 11 months or so that he'd been gone. then one morning, for the first time since he left, i was just thinking i wonder what he's up to? sure enough, guess who calls me out of the blue later that day. have you ever dreamed something and then seen it in your daily life?

its all true man, read up on this stuff. its pretty interesting
