I think it goes way deeper than that. I think the entire thing was staged. Similar to the Will Smith slapping Chris Rock performance.

Why we continue to care about these people's messed up lives is beyond comprehension. I would say the list of normal-functioning celebrities is much shorter than the list of those who are not. They generally are not people to emulate in any way. Our society dotes on them because they appear in the public eye and generally have a lot more money than the average person. But ultimately, who cares?

Amen to that. When the Depp/Heard verdict was announced, wherever I went, it was all abuzz and when I was asked my opinion, I was like dunno, don't care, I never followed it.

People would look at me like I had two heads! Lol

Having lived and worked there for a time, surrounded by all the superficiality and decadence, I have zero interest in those people or their lives and lifestyle.

But people do and always will, it fascinates them!

Whatever, to each their own and as a side, Depp looks like he aged 20 years.

Great actor though, I've liked him ever since watching him in Edward Scizzorhands.
