Yes the weight belt is key. I can do 15-20 pull ups now and 25 chin-ups, but they say once you hit 10 you should use a weight belt. Pull-ups cured my back problems.Fuglydude said:I don't really do chin ups anymore because my rotator cuffs aren't that happy with a large range of motion. I do however, do a variety of pull ups. I only do sets of 6 to 8 for wide grip on back days. When I'm lifting heavy I train and hammer out 6 reps w/ 90 lbs around my waist with a narrow underhand grip. The weighted work is great for stretching out the lower back after squats/deads.
