The problem with the go to trade school idea for a lot of young people is that no one ever made them do any real work in their lives. Real work involves getting dirty, gross, sweaty, smelly, and basically doing what no one else wants to do. That's why they pay you.

What is the end goal? Women? Just hit the gym, what the **** is the point of getting a day job when you can just be a bum and still get ***** lmao.

Men have no end game, the expectation that a man just propel himself forward just because is ridiculous, of course women are going because the courts favor them, they can date across and up comfortably, like they have all the motivation to go, for a man, it just isn't so, if you don't want kids, it's basically either have a job and be lonely or be a gym rat but poor.

So no, I don't blame them, I will continue my own development regardless at any age because luckily I've been blessed with looks that allow me to date up, but for most men the situation is pretty bleak.

Apprenticeship programs might work better. That's the way people used to learn trades.

Sure. Apprenticeships are a way to screen out the people who don't want to get dirty, because any tradesman who takes on an apprentice uses them for the dirtiest work that they don't want to do themselves.

The painters union near me runs radio ads with young people talking about making more money as a first year apprentice than they did with a liberal arts bachelors degree.

This is why work ethic is so important. Apprentices who want to learn have to stick out the tough times to get where they want to go.
Unfortunately, today's culture doesn't seem to view work ethic as a positive trait, it's even seen as a negative one, or as racist.

Low T men can't compete with the women academically anymore, so they quit. They don't have the drive, the work ethic, or the motivation. Most of these guys will end up working for college educated females.

For many technical trades, they still go to school for the theory and then work for a contractor as an apprentice (or at least a “helper”) for the practical experience.

At least trades still train people. The white collar world hates training people. They demand past job experience and/or internships just to get an entry level “first” job.

Agreed. And dealing with uncomfortably hot or cold conditions too.

Everybody goes into the trades and the trades won't be worth as much anymore. They are worth so much because they are scarce. Unions, which are responsible for those large incomes, are aware of this and only dole out so many apprenticeships and often to friends and family who can handle the unemployment that comes along with it. Too many people with that knowledge and these big paychecks will dwindle. Trade work isn't as specialized as tech, law, or medicine after all.

College in the fall and spring, a trade during the summer. Best of both worlds.

There isn't any entry apprenticeship programs left where I live, you HAVE to get your first year before they will take you on here, I'm sure Mom and Pop's still do it but the big corpos are done taking on brand news, then the other thing is that most places have a single journeyman working with multiple apprentices, meaning they want you for your apprenticeship but the second you become a Journeyman they are ready to tell you to take a hike and thus their rates are now gouged to **** for the most part, $35 CA is standard for Journeyman here

That works as long as hard work pays which is not the case if you're used then thrown away once the tax bonuses for business run out after your 1 year there.

That is the basic Millennial response. Don't work hard because hard work will not pay. You have to work smart as well as work hard.
Dismissing a good work ethic is folly. Would you tell gym rats not to work hard in the gym? Would you tell men on a forum such as this not to try to improve themselves? Better to give up? You need a plan for success, and the will to execute it. You need self discipline to forego short term pleasure for long term gain. If your plan fails, you need to analyze why it has failed and how best to correct, or replace it. Sitting and crying "No one has ever had it as hard as we do" is not a solution. As they said in Shawshank, get busy living or get busy dying. It's your choice.

You work hard at the gym cause you get the strenght and the abstetics...if someone else was getting the result would you diet all year around?

Any mentally sane man does a cost/benefit ratio before doing anything and if being a wageslave for some boomer was a decent option many more would.

Hard work pays when you get either the rewards short term or when you get a chance to enter a stable position...neither of those happens nowadays where you are used and replaces with an other slave to get further tax benefits.

There's a difference between having a good work ethic, and being treated like a slave just because a company offers a couple of dollars per hour more.

As I said, you have to work smart, and you need a plan. Don't tell me it can't work today, because if that were the case no one would be successful.

No wonder socialism is so popular among the kids today. They expect to sit around and let the government pay them. And those in power will likely be only too happy to do it. With the typical socialist result: An elite ruling class and a bunch of peasants.

You got it all wrong its not about socialism, its about libertarianism...once you remove big gov and regulations the market will self regulate according to the fair value of the actors.

Socialism and regulations are the reasons why the work environment is crap today...its actually the reason why boomers can leech on young people.

Trust me its boomers that want the "we're all in the same boat" policies not young people...young people simply ask openly what boomers do covertly which is living on others work.

I'm all for libertarianism, I'd say I'm a mix of libertarian and conservative.
The kids want to be socialist though, they've been indoctrinated to.

When your approval and rewards are based on a middle aged angry woman since you're 6 yrs old, you can hardly develop a grasp of work-->results-->gains.

Most of the time your marks are just a benchmark of how much a dumb cvnt likes you personally till you get to the university.

Low T, feminized, emasculated, unmotivated, not goal driven, whatever you want to call it.
Ok, so let's do these one by one.
Feminized - I am pretty much disgusted by women and specifically the way they behave and their
truly held beliefs that they deserve this, that and the other purely for turning up. The entitlement
is staggering. I am not like this, I believe you get what you work for and that nobody is queueing up to give
me a free ride in any respect.
Emasculated - There is no woman in my life, nor do I want one. Nobody has emasculated me, I am content in
my ability to provide for myself, make the right decisions for myself, protect myself and my property and take
care of my own health, wellbeing and wealth. In my view that's about as masculine as it gets.
Unmotivated - To seek out the best piece of trash in the dumpster? It's no wonder there's no motivation
in people who realise disappointment is pretty much a certainty. I am like this. But also I get to do what I wish
without having to consult or appease anybody.
Not goal driven - To achieve what exactly? I can pay my bills, I have a home which is paid for fully, a decent
state of health, I can get around in a variety of owned vehicles, I've already seen a great deal of the world and
I'm too old to responsibly start fathering children so what exactly should I be driving towards? I have nothing
to gain or prove.
