I can tell for sure that the director doesnt like "karens" generally, never seen so many attacks toward certain women and their behaviour, Im not gonna spoiler the movie but you could feel it scene after scene, even the final scene where the bad guy is dealt seems forced more like he had to in order to get the movie out.

Hard to say if genuine idea or planned to get attention from the growing number of pissed of men building anger generally...also the road rage part where many can relate.

Cracked a couple of laughs during the movie and my date was kinda concerned, even more my friends one after he said "damn thats smackdown material".

I just watched this movie on hoopla. This is a free site if you are a member of a public library. Had some difficulty falling asleep last night and just decided to open this on my Tablet. I fell asleep at some point after watching this movie, probably the first 5 or 10 minutes. I came to later on inside the movie wear it looked like it was 30 minutes towards the ending. The images were very disturbing and now this movie had my full attention to see what I'm looking at. Finished the last 20 minutes on the desktop.

I loved the ending. The choice of the end-credit song:

Loved it when the boy said that his mother made the right choice by not honking the horn when another potential road rage incident could have occurred (almost T-boned another car crossing an intersection), and it ended like that. The last 20 minutes was an adrenaline pumping thriller inside that house where I felt a catharsis feeling when the boy said "she made the right decision" and they continued driving and that song started. Had a Terminator: Judgment Day (1991) vibe feeling to it somehow.

I'm going to check some youtube reviews and IMDB/RT for some further feedback and may re-watch this fully awake unless the pacing is bad until the third act.

Ok just seen this over the weekend and I thought it was a pretty decent movie.

What did we learn from this as viewed through the eyes of a non-feminist male?

Single mother that should've gotten her $hit straight from the start. None of this would've happened had she not overslept. Plus she fell asleep on the sofa. Who know's if she was chatting or swiping on apps until late? Lol

No discipline or strict schedule.

Not thinking about her son as her priority as he was already tardy before and got in trouble because his mom was late to bring him to school.

She's letting her brother stay with her who's also a beta and probably leeching off of her.

You can tell by how the boy acted that she mainly raised him in her feminist world and/or the father was also beta.

It was implied that she could've been sleeping with the lawyer. Probably getting free legal services because she doesn't have that much money.

Being a Karen by laying on the horn rather than just giving a warning/wakeup tap but then proceeding to mouth back at a stranger. Stupid move.

Stupid broad for not locking her phone.

Why didn't she just go to the police station? Oh that's right, she just participated in the BLM/Defund Police protests the week before. LOL

Why did she park her car in her mom's driveway in plane view rather than park it out of view or down the block?

So many other flaws but that's what's expected from some of these broads so no surprise.

He put on some pretty good weight for this movie. Like a proper, angry fat@ss. Nice. I will gladly be staying strapped, as rage in general is on the rise right now. I'll continue to do what I have to in order to live unharmed.

SPOILER ALERT: She baited him so she could flip his car over, which she did. The point that he got up, after having a shot in his arm, after being rolled over in the car, basically changed this into a Terminator movie with me. In Terminator movies the police are ineffective too. Even a scissor lodged in his left eye could not keep him down and she had to kick him a second time in the face with it im his scull in order to incapicitate him? That is all unreal. I am thinking if you machine gunned him he will still come up and attack the way that movie went!

Well that kinda reminds the last scene from the first terminator when sara destroy the machine in that facility trapping it.

Btw where you rooting for the woman or the man while watching the movie?

To be fair, I didn't watch this full movie awake. It held my attention for the first 10 minutes then lost me then I awoke somewhere by the last 30 minutes when there was a guy in a chair reading a note and was about to get burned. I found that very disturbing and unnecessary cruel. I decided the movie, based on certain video reviews and overall score, is not worth watching at this time because its level of violence goes below my sensibilities of taste. One video reviewer claimed she could not stomach watching it beyond the 44 minute mark and dismissed the movie as torture porn, and reviewer (which was a guy) discouraged people from going out to the theater to watch this movie because the pay-off is too small because of the level of violence that the audience has to sit through. So, my issue with this movie is it comes across as too violent, sort of like Nocturnal Animals (2016), and its too realistic compared to a slasher movie which is usually more comical.

From what I did see, notably the opening and last 30 minutes, of course, I rooted for the lady and the boy, in the same manner I would root for the Sarah and John Connor against the Terminator. We don't care that the Terminator is a guy over a metal endoskeleton, because it's not human, its a robot. With me the man portrayed by Russel Crowe in Unhinged comes like an Arnie Terminator movie (where Arnie is the bad terminator of course!) because the guy is displaying super-human strength and someone starts losing their humanity when you start shooting at them and injuring them and they are still continuing like they are a robot from the Terminator franchise. So, without seeing the full movie awake and just essentially looking at the last act, this was a terminator movie and I rooted for the lady and her son.

But, to be fair with you, there is this other movie called 'Red Eye' (2005), where the male villain portrayed by Cililan Murphy was just evil. It was better made, wasn't over the top like this movie, and this portrayed guys in a very negative way. You can't say its a woke movie because its made in 2005. The screen-writer who made Red Eye also made Unhinged, who is Carl Ellsworth. He also wrote Disturbia (2007).

There are women screen-writers, who also portray women in a bad way, such as Gillian Flynn with Gone Girl (2014) and Sharp Objects (2018).

So if you want to attack a movie as being feminist where the screen-play was written by a white man, rather than a woman, then, my guess is you are just reading too much into this. Why would a white man put a screen-play designed to demonize white men like you are suggesting?

Pvssies...

The feminist narrative is to censor or shield us from these gruesome realities. Why the fvck can't grown men see beheading of men and why does it need to be censored? Yeah, blame it on the feminists and their agenda. By following or adhering to their agenda's, it makes us all weak.

Imagine pvssy men these days that can't even stomach watching a guy get shot without throwing up. Exactly how are men supposed to be prepared both physically and mentally if we ever have to go to war again? Pathetic IMO...

As a Christian I am accountable to God to whatever it is I'm looking at or listening to because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If I watch something offensive then God is offended with me for watching that, and that's not cool. So I'm taking in a cost to my soul. If an unbeliever can not stomach to watch a movie because it upsets her sensibilities then what does that say about me as a believer if that's okay with me?

Now, going back to the heart of your comment. I've already viewed a ton of war movies back in November. A war movie does not depict tasteless violence because its in a context of war. I've seen many violent movies because I know violence in movies themselves is not real. I know about fight choreography, fake blood, props, etc... and can easily deconstruct basically any violent depiction based on my vast knowledge of film making. That leaves to the issue if its adds to the narrative or aesthetic component of the movie, or if its purely tasteless and unnecessary. In this movie it's totally tasteless and unnecessary, don't you think so?

If it affects your religious beliefs then by all means do what you need to live out a good Christian life. I'm not here to change you or that aspect.

I do however disagree and think this is needed to depict the realism that can exist from crazy guys out there. I always semi-joke around that it is all cause and effect. The cause is females drives us crazy, which is the effect. I can tell you haven't seen a lot of twisted or horror movies.
This was like child's play to me compared to what's out there.

I did have some issue when driving yesterday where I was tempted to honk my horn at someone who blocked the intersection when I was trying to drive through. But, watching this movie influenced me to maybe, it's not a good idea and not honk the horn because that's not cool anymore. Like I said, the ending scene was powerful and if it helped influenced any decision towards provoking road rage and honking my horn a bit less then it has that checkmark.

I've also seen other reviews on IMDB that suggest if a guy really acted crazy like that, then the SWAT team would be over him in minutes. I know you've got the white privilege thing, but even that has limits. There are also issues they are saying people had the opportunity to call the police or save themselves but the movie had to fit things in so it can move along narratively. Do you think the man's victims had opportunity to save themselves and call the police, or get out of the scene quickly, if they really wanted to do so, but they sort of looked for it the way the movie ran? Do you think the movie's narrative as a story is realistic?
