What is a good major to major in when in college??

Major in what interests you and suits your abilities. I majored in business to be practical, and it didn't work out well for me since I don't enjoy sales or bean counting. Major in whatever fits you best, maybe a trade school since you don't seem to like academia.

    Hipster Movie List

I watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas again today, and am looking for more movies like this. Movies with people wearing sunglasses, speaking lingo, in pool halls, diners, films that resemble a Tom Waits song or Hunter S. Thompson novel.

    Want Some Cool Eyeglasses

What optical company, online or national, could I do this without paying extra for trying several frames chosen from their inventory? I know of a place in the big city that let me do this without charge, but I no longer live there.

    Want Some Cool Eyeglasses

I wore contact lenses for many years, and finally gave up on them after trying everything. They literally do glue onto my eyes, and an optician recommended that I avoid them due to the damage caused to my eyes. Plus I don't like ending the day with a hassle which removal of contacts is for me. I...

    Want Some Cool Eyeglasses

I used to wear contacts when I was your age, but they'd make my eyes bloodshot so everyone thought I was on dope, and I had to scrape them off my eyes every night. Nothing cool about that.

Housing and utilities are killing you.

The rule of thumb is no more than 1/3 of your monthly income to housing expenses. Where do you pay under $200 a month?

Read Ayn Rand, Albert Nock, Lysander Spooner

Neither Ayn Rand nor Howard Roark would fit in the corporate world. The fraternity boy Peter Keating would do fine because he's all about having the right credentials and mixing in the right social circles.

    Want Some Cool Eyeglasses

I bought my last eyeglasses at WalMart, and they're okay but I'm looking for something better image-wise for eyeglasses. I'll probably get some RayBans with lenses that shade while outside, and I'm also interested in 70s style aviator glasses with some tint on the lenses. Any other suggestions...

Federal Reserve Admits: We Have no Gold!

According to the Fed official in the video, the gold went to the Treasury. I'd rather have it there than a quasi-governmental entity operated by private bankers. But does the Treasury still have it?

Federal Reserve Admits: We Have no Gold!

Distinguish between a strictly gold monetary system and a gold standard based on fiat money being tied to gold at a ratio adjusted by the government. The problem isn't that we use paper money, or electronic balances for that matter, rather that it's no longer tied to gold.

    Mistakes at Work

Usually when there's mistakes at work, I keep my mouth shut and let my boss and coworkers continue making them without wise comments from me. I would just get in trouble if I brought the mistakes to their attention.

The nudist lifestyle: all about freedom, not sex? Right.

The best places to see attractive women naked for free is informal nudist areas such as nude beaches. A lot of women who don't join formal nudist organizations do go to nude beaches or hot springs on warm summer days. Some of them are even looking to hook up. Of course, you still have to use...

Hmm. Sam Bowie versus Michael Jordan.

I am 100% convinced that the college debt bubble is going to make the housing bubble

College students should consider living with their parents for at least the first two years and attending the local community college.
