And I liked the way that Pierce Brosnan updated the character to deal with the more liberated women of his era. Yeah, exactly. It took me a while reading the news article to piece together that she is just the new "007" and not going to be Jamie Bond or whatever. It's still kind of dumb, but I get that they're trying to expand the franchise and all that nonsense to make money. The headlines were designed to be very click baity.

And in the article the studio execs were saying that introducing a black female 007 will be a "popcorn-dropping moment" for the audience. Lol, what? You just told us what was going to happen, idiots. And I'm sure by the time people buy tickets they'll be well aware. They also said that Bond (Daniel Craig) was going to hit on her but his come-ons would have no effect.
