No one likes my Facebook Posts, I have no friends!!

Help! I live in Chicago currently,
I have no friends and my facebook wall is pathetic.

Whenever I post anything on my facebook,
I get zero likes.

I am the only one who likes my post.

Then I see guys/girls that get 80 LIKES even if they
post something stupid or immature.

Why do some people have such a monopoly on friends?

I have no hope of getting a girlfriend, everytime I meet someone new
they ask for my facebook, and then the girl sees that I am a total

reject/weirdo/loser.

Can anyone relate to this?

You can't place so much importance on facebook, it's not real life. I'd be willing to bet that people with 1000+ friends don't even know 60% of them. Vlad was actually helpful when he said delete it and never look back. If it's causing you grief and you're stressing about it, why keep it? Get out there and do things in the world. You have a job? Hobbies? Ever go out on weekends? Workout? You can meet people through these things and make some friends.

Facebook is really only good for keeping in touch with family who may live far away, and talking to people you actually know in real life. I rarely, rarely ever post statuses, and the only people I interact with are close friends (say, if I am, or one of them is having phone problems...lost it, broke it etc...).

Delete your facebook, as it is obviously only hurting you. If a girl asks why you don't have one, tell her it was too much of a time-wasting thing and it bored you. If she pries further, just shrug your shoulders and say "it's just not the thing for me."

Hit the gym; lift weights, stay off the cardio (it doesn't do much)

Fix your wardrobe

Get rejected 100 times

Do something really challenging, like sky diving or hike the Appalachian trail

Read 50 good books this year

Get a hobby, whether its art, music, what-the-freaking-ever

Listen to the advice of experienced guys on the forum; they know more than you

Don't be flippant with your replies; criticism and growth can both be painful

If you suck as a person right now, work on being awesome in 5 years

Perseverance is your ally

Negativity, especially toward yourself, is a self-defeating spiral

Start a journal on your pick-up failures and successes; you'll learn a lot

I have lots of hobbies,

arts and crafts, soccer etc,

I have done everything you recommended on that list,

No one from my soccer group wants to talk to me,

they all go out after a game but convienently forget to invite me.

THen when I see them out, some of them actually say to me "dude im with people"

If your life sucks you have to fake it untill you make it, you cant if your life is an open book.

You live in one of the biggest, liveliest cities in the world. Throw away your computer, grab your balls and hit the streets. There is awesome power in being a loner. A lone wolf, not a puppy. When sheeple see a man with his act together by himself, they get umcomfortable. Anyone who is confident and happy without fakebook or a herd of fake bithches is a threat to sheeple. Now, maybe you know something they dont. Youve just become mysterious, not creepy. Mystery is another powerful tool you can take advantage of. Now, find a local bar. Go to happy hour evey day for a couple weeks. Within a few days, the bar keep will recognize you and you can strike up convo with them and any other familiar faces. Wear a suit, or at least a tie. Makes people wonder where you came from or are going. Handcuff a breifcase to your wrist and youll be begging people to leave you alone. Find a cool music scene and hit it on the regular too. hanging by the bar, watching a band is cool wether you meet anyone or not. In summer go to a bar near the cubs or sox and check the game there. No doubt it'll be packed. Same with the bears in winter. There are clubs that have certain bars they meet at on game days. Pool. Find bars that have 9 ball tournaments, playing pool is a good way to chat and get to meet people. They have coed leagues too. Ditch the soccer team and find a coed kickball league. Not my thing but theres tons of chicks that play and the whole team goes out after games.

I agree with everyone saying flush the fakebook. First of all, its meaningless to anyone living in reality. Second, the look on peoples faces when you laugh at them for even suggesting you have one is priceless. Nothing to feel odd about, simply chuckle and tell them " Nope, not into it".
