My god, I hate people that say their legs are already big enough so they don't need to train them. There's this asian guy at my gym i'd say about 30 years old, absolute massive upperbody, but his fu<king quads are as big as my calves. Keep at it with the squats, if your lower body is out of proportion with your upperbody then maybe train a bit harder. What does your routine look like?

My upperbody isn't that big :(.


I use the routine from IA.

Day One:

Dips or Bench Press 3 x 8-10

Incline Press, or incline Fly 2 x 8-10

Military Press, Or Hammer Shoulder Press 2 x 6-8

Tricep (skull crushers) Extensions or Tricep Pushdowns 3 x 6-10

Heavy Abs 3 x 10

Day Two:

Lats pulldown/ pullups 3 x 8-10

Barbell Row 2 x 8

EZ-Bar Or Dumbell Curl 1 x 10

Squats 3/4 x 10-12

Deadlifts, or Stiff-Legged Deadlift 2 x 10

A high-rep set of squats after your usual low-volume worksets. So you might do 2 sets of 5-8, followed by a set of 20.

Try them sometime, and you'll figure out quick why they're called widowmakers.

Good post I am going to try adopt more compound exercises.. Never done a deadlift in my life.. I do bench and recently started squats.
