This happens often with me. It’s usually with things I absolutely dread doing. I once had to give a presentation in front of a crowd of about 500 people... leading up to it I was absolutely dreading it... felt like I was getting sick thinking about it... and when I finally did it and got it done I was sad it was over.

For the last year I’ve been killing myself getting a large scale training exercise ready for my organization. I did not volunteer but was told to get this done because of my skill set. The two designated weeks for this training program sat on my calendar for a year... haunting me. I felt there was no way I could do this... or pull it off and again as it got closer.. the more stressed I became. It just came to an end and for two weeks killed myself to make sure this training went off without a hitch... several 18 hour days... no time to eat and this program just ended. I thought I wound be ecstatic to be done with this but I feel down again that it’s over. Why does this happen??
