So let me tell you about my Friday night. Its lengthy...but give it a shot.
Ive been talking to this girl I went to college with. We never talked while in school, but always saw one another around. We had mutual friends, so after college one of us added the other on facebook. Then in the summer we started talking online. Mostly about current events and typical going ons in our lives. I didn’t take a romantic interest in her at first since she had a fling with a friend of mine in college (not close friend, more of a wingman/buddy). I have a rule against dating chicks who have been with friends of mine. The imagery is weird in my head, and plus I don’t like seconds off of someone I know.
Anyways, as we started talking more, I started taking an interest in her. And I could tell she was taking an interest in me…however she would put up a front and try and act like she didn’t. Nevermind the fact that our conversations ending up sexual. Early in our friendship we both made it known that her and my buddy had a quick fling in college, and I treated it like no biggie. But despite that, she would for some reason make mentions of how she hooked up with my friend in several conversations…or make other comments regarding her current romantic life or her trysts back in college. Im not a prude, and I don’t mind a girl being honest about her past or present….but for the love of God, when you have even a remote interest in someone, you do not talk about other romantic interests to them...and you especially don’t make comments about the time you hooked up with one of their friends.
Anyways, that stuff started to turn me off and she made herself come off poorly…especially when she started divulging details of her hookups. Why the hell would I wanna know that stuff? If we are just friends…by all means tell me those things. But don’t tell me those things when you’ve made it apparent that youre into me.
So anyways, given all that, my romantic interest waned, but I still thought she was a cool chick and I do like making new friends. So I invited her to hang out with my best friend and me on Friday night. Her and I had been meaning to chill, but given I don’t live down in the city, and that I work a lot, the timing was off for a while. What a night…this chick was nothing like our convos on facebook or the phone (amazing how different people are in person right?)
So we pick her up and shes all over the place. First off, apparently she had pre-gamed before going out (no biggie right?). And shes like super-duper ADHD turbo tongue too. I thought my mind worked a mile a minute…but this girl goes from subject to subject, and says the most random things. Nevermind the fact that she was super handsy with me from the minute my friend and I picked her up. I wouldn’t mind this if we were in a group…but it was the 3 of us and I didn’t want my friend feeling all third wheel-ish. Silly of me to sit in the back on the drive to the bar huh?
So we go to this bar, and the three of us are talking and having drinks…and she decides to start dancing on me at the counter….then at one point she looks at me and says “kiss me”. Super freaking random and my friend is right there feeling awkward as fvk. My best friend isn’t like my bros I go out wingman-ing with. Hes a more laid back dude whos never been into going out with the sole intent of meeting women….nevermind the fact that hes newly engaged. So I was now feeling mega embarrassed…because the night was supposed to be me catching up with my bro, and also getting to know a new friend. If my intention was to hook up, I wouldn’t have brought my best friend. I keep ignoring her advances, and basically try to just chill as friends with everyone, but shes not letting up with her touchy feely act.
Anyways, feeling as awkward as can be, my best buddy decides he will sit in the car for a few and let me hang with this girl for a little. He says “dude…shes all over you and I don’t wanna get in your way…so just don’t take too long”. He was insistent, so he bounces. So as soon as he left she jumps on me. I had a few drinks in me by then and decided to go with it. But the things she started saying toooooootally killed things.
Ladies….let me tell you that this is how you scare a guy off. I had heard from my wing-buddy(the one who hooked up with her) that this girl was a little batty, but I always try to give people their own chance to show me who they are. I don’t like to go on other peoples words…but gee golly.
After she first kissed me, she pulls away and says “I love you, Kaylan”. Im like “woooah….dont say that…you don’t know me”. But she says it again and grabs me. I pull away and giggle at her. Alcohol and horniness are still somewhat clouding my judgment so I kiss her again…and she starts saying some verrrry raunchy things to me while we are kissing in our booth in this bar. Stuff that’s a little bit much for someone youre hanging out with for the first time in a bar. This is stuff more left to a bedroom or until you know me better.(“I wanna suck your ****….I want you to come in my mouth” etc) Granted we are both being a bit handsy….but still.
Then she starts saying how she wants to date me…but thinks I will just hit it and quit it. Nevermind the fact that we have both said we weren’t looking for serious partners during our talks before while we got to know one another. I pull backed and told her that she knows Im not the guy for that at the moment. But this whole situation confused me. Shes acting like she just wants a quick drunken shag…but then she throws this other weird stuff at me.
She kisses me again…and I pull back and decide to ask her something along the lines “if something were to happen with us…would it be safe?” That’s how I ask a girl about her std status. And this girl acts all pouty and goes “omg Kaylan…I cant believe you don’t trust me…you must think im a slut.” And im like “dude….we don’t know each other…you shouldn’t be too easy to trust me actually” And shes like “why, were good friends”. And im like “0.o….we barely know each other, so it’s a smart question to ask someone”. And shes like “youre right…youre my friend…we shouldn’t do this.” And im like “ok” and act as if I don’t really care…because really I didn’t lol.
Eventually my friend texts me that hes ready to leave. And again, on the ride home she wont let up with the touchy stuff and trying to get me to kiss her. I refuse to do that in front of my friend. Itd be super rude to him. Anyways she acts all pouty…then is even more pouty when she gets out of the car. She barely says anything to me when I text her that night to check on her. Then the next day I ask her how she slept…no response. Then I say “cat got your tongue?” No response. So basically I haven’t heard from her since Friday night.
Im not at all interested in her romantically anymore, but I still wanted to make sure things wouldn’t be weird based on that night. Im guessing shes embarrassed by her behavior or by my refusing to go along with some of her behavior. All in all, Im just wowed by the girls I continue to meet. Granted the girl had some drinks in her…but still…Ive never had a girl behave that way…especially when she barely knows me.
