Ok guys the negativity aside, now for about what happened last night.. cordon i'm not sure how you can call this girl plump she is quite obviously very hot and very slender maybe you need to get glasses or something lol you have commented a lot on this thread and most of your comments have been directed toward complaining about the girls, even though most other posters here disagree and think they're very hot. These hookups are basically all from online dating sites. The same rules don't seem to apply when you go out to clubs. Girls in clubs/bars seem more standoffish than girls online. Probably because everyone is watching and they're afraid of looking like sluts.

Since this is basically a merging of all of your previous threads and FR's, I will make a suggestion based on your old failed $300 dinner date thread. I've been thinking about it, and if you did the math, I bet most of that $300 was spent on you. Because she didn't drink. So if you just count the portion she ordered, then it wasn't $300. Maybe $100 on her, and $200 on you.

The reason I am breaking out the rationalization calculator is because I get the feeling that you are the type who can afford nice dinners more often than most people, and you like to go to nice places, with a girl on your arm. If you start looking at them as just nice accessories to go with your night out, and don't mind spending that kind of money on yourself, then that could be a good way of looking at it for you.

And if the specific girl isn't on a pedestal and you are just living and experiencing life your way, and she is the lucky person to get to experience it with you that night, then this will also demonstrate value and competition.

Aside from all that though, you might want to start figuring out some good ways to qualify a girl for when she starts to become more than an accessory for the evening. Don't let one of these dumb materialistic girls become your main girl.

Online dating may not be a bad route if you live in a big area with lots of people...clearly, people are only posting online because they are available or seeking...when you go into the public or to a club, you have no real way of gauging who wishes for what beyond initial observations, contact and conversation.

I'm sure using online dating effectively is a good way to cut to the chase. I was thinking before I moved out here to the mountainous-middle-of-nowhere that it would be a great resource for getting out and practicing.

Bradd, maybe with this experience and practice you'll be far more qualified to recognize a quality woman when you see her.

I am not in your income bracket, etc, and definitely may have a different type of woman whom I'm interested in--but I applaud your hard work in putting yourself out there again and again and sharing what you've learned. Just put on some of your best clothes, get a haircut, and get a friend to take a pic for you. You don't have to look like Ethan Hawke, but you should try to look the best that you possibly can. PM me a pic of yourself and we can work on it.

You know iqqi, it's always great to hear a woman's perspective on all of this. That was a great thread full of excellent advice and pointers and should have been stickied, and your advice was probably the single best of them all. I don't mind spending money on a date, i feel that if a guy asks a girl out he should foot the bill and i do happen to like taking my girls to nice places bc then i get to see them get all dressed up with short skirts and high heels and their hair done up. Sometimes i win, sometimes i lose, but it's the way i've chosen to play the game. That particular date, I would have gotten her too had it not been for a few careless mistakes on my part

Same here. I don't mind taking a chick out to a place I want to try especially if I'm the one who asks her out. If I notice she doesn't at least fake an attempt to offer to pay I see it as a red flag or if the chick seems to be trying to run up the bill at my expense. At least the chick can pretend to offer to pay like she'd have my back in the future.

You just have to relax (not you Brad, but posters reading), have fun if you invite a chick out and not seem obssessed with her offering to pay. If she doesn't you just bounce and at least you've tried a new place is the way I look at it.

My friend had started talking to her while we were all sitting on some grass chilling out and munching on $20 hamburgers (yeah i know like wtf). But then my buddy went to grab some drinks, so i moved in for the kill. We started talking, then near the end of our convo she asks me if i have bbm and to add her, so i did.

She lives 2 hours away, but we texted each other here and there over the next few weeks and this past Friday she came down to my city so we could meet up. We went out for drinks at some bar, then it was off to the club. It really isn't as easy as it seems, I can't stress this enough. I get turned down all the time, and I make A LOT of mistakes. But this is how we all learn. Remember, this thread is entitled "journey to don juan mastery" which recognizes the fact that mastery has not quite yet occurred. We're all here on this journey to learn together.

I think this is where it's appropriate to quote my favorite inspirational Michael Jordan statement, I'm sure you've all seen or heard it before:

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

Do you guys see what I'm saying? I get rejected 10 times for every phone number i get. It's not easy getting rejected, even when you're convinced that you're a great catch and the girl would be lucky to go out with a great, fun guy like you. But you have to approach as many girls as possible and get shot down as many times as you possibly can until you become immune to rejection. It's like the martial artist who continually smashes his fist into the iron board until he develops callouses so thick that he no longer feels the pain. This is what you're trying to do when you approach as many women as possible. At first, try to see how many times you will be rejected. Do it until rejection becomes second nature and almost expected. But never lose your playfulness; remember, these girls would be lucky just to have you even for one night!

Remember fellas, REJECTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN REGRET

So never lose an opportunity! Take every chance you can, you only live once! I will write more on the importance of this when i start the next post about the next girl on our journey..

I've said it before in this thread, but I'm really not that great looking. I'm ok i guess but i have to use my advantages (tall, nice face) and emphasize those while trying to downplay my negatives, like the fact that i don't look like a movie star and that I don't have the body of a Greek god. Point is, you gotta try your best to look like one. You have to try to look the best you can by emphasizing your strengths while downplaying your weaknesses. This, in my experience, along with a carefree fun-loving personality is key to being considered attractive to women. One of the guys early in this thread, evan12, mentioned that girls "assume men with regular hair cuts are regular guys." I think this was a great point. And I know I've garnered a lot of positive and negative attention, but never allow haters to knock you off your path and take away your focus. We have more important things to do here than waste our time listening to someone else's negativity! In fact, I invite my detractors to come here because it is only through constructive criticism that we will improve ourselves.

Use whatever hairstyle works for you. For some guys, it'll be the Dwayne "Rock" Johnson or Vin Diesel shaved head look. For others, like me, you might want a spiky look that reminds women of Johnny Depp or Colin Farrell. For most guys, I find that growing your hair out and getting a sharp cool look that makes you stand out (in a good way) from other guys is what usually works best. If this isn't clear enough, let me know and I'll do a google search so i can attach images here of some really good examples.
