Whats Her Deal?

Alright long story short theres this girl whos into cars like me. I met her at a volunteer event a while back. Got her number she was def interested-she gave me her number and told me not to be shy and call or txt. I asked if she wanted to go to a car show with me which was 2 weekends ago-she never got back to me so I deleted her number and figured fvck it. Well out of nowhere she txted me today asking what I was up to. To be honest I didnt know who it was since I deleted her number so I just kept txting her back til I figured out who it was lol.
Well she asked me what Ive been up to and what I was doing today-seemed interested. One thing she txt me was "why are you smiling" I had no clue what that meant so I asked her and she said Im always smiling when Im talking to her. I said maybe you just catch me when Im in a good mood -when Im under the hood of my car(since she always stops and talks to me while Im in the parking lot working on my car. She replied with Maybe you're just like that when you're talking to a girl. Anyways we txted for a bit and I eventually stopped txted her back. After bout 30 mins she txted me saying she was in class. I havent responded.
Whats the point of this? Does she just want attention or? What would be a good way to handle this?

sounds like small talk to me...
text.flirt (tastefully at first) with her, see how she responds...
if she responds favorably - then that answers your question
if she responds negatively/or not at all - that answers your question
it's hard to say off of small talk... she could have a lot of guy friends who are into cars and who she likes to have small talk with occasionally... that could be you (if she was doing this before class - she might have got to school early and just text some rendom people)... or she could have other intentions...

well like i said I didnt txt her back and I guess thats got her wondering why cause she just txted me back again asking where I work. Any suggestions for the flirting? I just want the ball in my court rather than being the one wondering why she hasnt gotten back to me or whatever. Also I feel as if I already asked her out and she never got back to me so maybe she just likes being in charge or playing games.

there's plenty of articles around on how to flirt, which could teach you a lot more than me making suggestions... i'm a firm believer in developing your own flirting style that matches who you really are...

i have a straight forward/funny approach, that wouldn't work for a lot of guys on here (i don't think)

if a girl text me with small talk and asked me where i worked - i don't like texting much - so i would want her to call me... so that would be my goal... so maybe i say i'm a phone sex operator and she should call me to hear me do my thing (and of course i'd be terrible at it, and she wouldn't really want to hear it, which would make it funny/memorable)... or anything really... i just throw the flirting out there asap to not waste time wondering if she's into me or not... flirting/sexual flirting will tell you a lot more than small talk...

You: hey im not big on texting, i think you can interogate me in person...but i wont do it unless its over coffee..my truth serum...starbucks at 6 friday good for you?

2. Im kind of seeing somebody already/ im busy at the time.

leave it at that..if she gets back to you again just asking you BS questions...dont respond straight away..wait 4 hours + and then respond "i was busy today...what up?"

I like Slickaz approach, txts are so impersonal.

i'd give her an option of 2 days though, something like "I'm free friday afternoon and saturday morning, which is better for you?" and if she says neither, then wait till next week.

She's interested.

She might have forgotten about your invite to the car show a few weeks back. Maybe she had better plans with her girls. Either/or, it's no biggie.

Lil update-shes got class ffrom 6pm to 12pm but shes sitting here txting me. she said theyre about to tear down a transmission so I know shes not just sitting around killing time. I might go with slickaz approach but to be honest Im trying to decide if shes even worth it. She didnt forget about the car show-the day of I was working on my car and she stopped by with sum guy in the pass seat just to bs asking if my car was gonna be ready and asking if she was gonna get to drive. The way I see it is shes used to havin the ball in her court to do as she pleases-especially since hot girls are rare in the military so shes put on a pedestal that much more. UPDATE:
So its the next day and thru out the night she kept txting me. I was slow to respond and ignored her a lot while she kept txting. I used Slickaz approach and said "Im not big on txting, you can interrogate me in person" when she kept asking me questions. She replied with " Man Im not doing that, I dont feel like driving to your place anyways".
At this point I figured shes just playing games and my last txt to her last night was "What? lol I didnt even ask you to come here"
I awoke to a few more txts from her including "then what do you suggest genious" which I didnt bother replying to.
Well fast forward to this afternoon. I was in the dorm parking lot when I saw her car jacked up with sum guy changing a flat. About 30 mins later after things were already taken care of she txted me " I got a flat"
I asked if she need help to where she asked where I was. I told her and she was like "Dork I already got the donut on and am about to see if the tire needs to be patched up"
I replied with " While you're at it maybe you should see about getting your attitude patched up lol"
(she was acting *****y like she should be put on a pedestal or something)
She txted back " Fvck you"
To which I didnt bother replying to.

How do you guys think I handled this??

Whats with all the stuffing around through texts and what not? Why not just lay it on the line to see what she's made of?

Invite her out on your terms, initiate sex asap and if she wastes your time just forget about her and move on.

As your probably aware, be weary of chicks in predominately male careers, they usually rate themselves 2 or 3 points higher than normal.

What oppuntunity? When she said that she was in class for several more hours so it wasnt an option anyways. Plus most of our base is working 12 hr shifts til Monday so everyones tired and busy.

Not really, you pointed out the fact you knew what she was thinking, and then when she hands you another green light with: ""then what do you suggest genious"", you give her nothing..again.

"I suggest you be wearing something hot, and we go and have some fun" etc etc, theres a tonne of ways you could have gone. Always keeping it light and airy, tell her without telling her, this is her chance before you move on, the option is there now so she better take it.
