I need help with a cocky/funny comeback.
Right. I need some help with a cocky and funny comment comeback.
I've said to this girl who was quite pretty.. Nice, your looking good tonight. (Yes i know that wasnt the best opener. But I knew that was the only way I could get her attention at the time)..
She said back: "Thanks! It is very sweet of you to say so. Hope you have a lovely day."
Ok she was kind of hasseling me for the wimpy comment. Then broke the coversation right there.
I've thought up of one comeback but its not very funny/good.
"No probs. But you don't say sweet to a man! Cheers"
Its kind of funny but It ended the coversation right there...
Can someone think of a funny comeback? To make them want to continue the conversation? Thanks!

People that try to find C&F responses on a nerd internet forum should shampoo my crotch.

You messed up, never compliment a girl. You can't recover from this.

you are giving too much attention to your target. what you said was horrible, you had no chance to recover from that. focus on giving your attention to the other girls and guys in the set. then Neg your target, and then eventually transition your attention to her. let her earn her right to speak to you

disagree, compliments are very effective but must be used correctly.
but the way that the OP used it wasn't good. In order for a compliment to work, you NEVER use compliments on physical features other than something that took forever. Personally I compliment the shoes or hair or fingernails. They are stuff that took the longest. If I do the nails it usually comes down to, "Wow... I love the nails. My mother had that done last week. Looks absolutely stunning on you though."

I don't really beleive in giving compliments there usualy dishonest, and manipulative to get into a girl pants. Been a DJ is about becoming a man, and I doubt a man uses such weak manipulative tactics, and do you really think that Tom Cruise would resort to compliments.

I'd be hesitant on using a complement as an opener. It reeks of approval-seeking and it seems like something that girls WANT to hear from all the other guys than the one she's hooking up with.

Ok i totally know what you mean. I think there is a misunderstanding.
I've listen to pretty much all of dyd cd's So i do know it was a bad opener. But i spose I'm asking for a comeback c&f to a bad opener. (Think of it as a challenge! )
I've listed one that could be used... Anyone else?
Himm what about... "but hey, then again it is dark tonight so if i get better view you could look like a troll?? (saying with a smile)

This doesn't make any sense. Why look for a CF comeback to a bad opener? Dont use the bad opener.
CF used as a comeback usually translates into passive aggression. You got rejected and now you are trying to save face? NO. You need to drop this whole thing immediately. Seriously.

Right.. I'll drop the question.. Jeez i didnt know i would get such a reaction from it.
Besides I'll have to disagree with you when you say it "usually translating to being passive aggression."
David deangelo used a technique similar to this by saying this liner:
"You know you are really cool. I would love to marry someone like you..."
(now sounds needy..)
Then after she gets a bit wierded out and thinks this guy is needy. He then says the following..
"But only to divorce you a week later and take half your money!!"

1. Why in the world would you be asking for a C&F comeback...that is like 1% of the interaction.
2. There was nothing wrong with your opener, it did what it was suppose to do...start the conversation.
3. Normal people compliment chicks, the position that most of you guys are coming from as far as complimenting goes is from a reactive state of mind.
Seriously guys focus too much on the 1% things, the opener and a C&F line is just a small percentage of the bigger picture. So longs all the 1% things adds up to create the bigger picture then its fine. The opener wasn't bad at all heck just off the top of my head I had some images from reading the orignal poster
The most basic follow up could've been "You get to be my gf for the night...but before I do that can you fight? Good because my ex she's the jealous type so you better be ready to kick some ass...matter of fact here are some fighting lessons.
Example
"Nice, your looking good tonight...lucky you, you get to be my gf for the night...but before I do that can you fight? Good because my ex she's the jealous type so you better be ready to kick some ass if she shows up...matter of fact here are some fighting lessons."
"The blast from the past, hold you hands like this...no like *fix her arms* what you do is say the chinese words "O!" "K!" and do *Whatever you think of* thats a deadly move only used if your fighting an armed fighter my ex usually is armed with hair pins so watch out."
"The Ferocious taunt, put your hands in the air and go like this, then say "Yea you know me!!!" (lmao inside joke unrelated to this lmao)
But you get the point the opener don't mean sh!t besides starting conversation, no need for no C&F line for every little thing thats just being reactive, because your constantly trying to find little comebacks for things that don't even matter. If something pops up in your head then convey it and express it.
Just focus on moving the interaction forward and leading the interaction to where it needs to go. Stop trying to make everything perfect so longs you have the basic fundamentals down you should be having great interactions regardless whether you get the # or sex the women should still enjoy the interaction.

Thanks bro, cheers. I get where you are coming from. Your right I guess it dosn't have to be perfect. A Conversation does go on for more than a few lines. So I guess it dosn't matter if you put your c&f straight away or later on.

I understand. But do you see the difference. His opener and comeback are planned. He is not reacting to her response, and then trying to use a C/F comeback to fix it.
If you want to do this approach, then use the one DD say's works. I personally wouldnt use anything that guy recommends.
1. He's not funny
2. He's in it for the money
If I were you, I would look at the overall responses to your question. The guys here arent trying to get your money, and have likely learned and been exposed to much more valuable philosophies than Mr. "Double my Paycheck."
