Are there any tricks I can use to improvise in having a pullup bar at home? I saw some for sale at a store but they cost like 70 dollars.

I used my door in highschool. Not the door frame, but the door itself. I put some towels at the top so the edges won't hurt my hand. If you're afraid the door my break, just put some stuff under the non-hinged side of the door. The door never broke on me, but I was about 100-105 when I was doing my door pull ups.

Look around, you might find a cheaper bar. I have one, I don't know how much it cost, but I know I wouldn't pay 70 for one.

there must be a monkey bar at a park near you..

as for doing it on the door, be careful not to break the doors.
