if he actually BUIlDS the double fence, with rifle towers every 1/4 mile, and not only stops illegal entry into US, but gets rid of the 30 million pos LINE-Jumping, arrogant, selfish pos's that have already snuck into the US, he'll get re-elected and after that, his vice prez (if that person is as effective as Trump) will get elected, too. Don taps into the 2/3 of the US electorate that are SICK of the system's BS. The 1/3rd that feed off of the rest of us need to suicide.

it would take 50 trillion $ to bail the US out of a depression, man. if that were not so, gates and buffet could really change things, but they can't. 1000 just like them MIGHT be able to do it, IF they were willing to spend all but their last million $ on the project. The US-Mexico border is just under 2,000 miles. A fence would cost billions, and that is before trying to light it up at night and staffing the guards. To make an effective fence would be a trillion dollar project. That's the entire Federal budget for one year.

You also ignored what the man said about what type of fence he is talking about. All that's required is the 6 coils of razor wire, so as to slow them down enough to be shot by the guards. Everyone will know that it's suicide to try to cross thru such a fence, so they won't try it. The costs will be very low indeed, and it can be done in a month, by Marines that are sitting in CA, doing nothing. It does not need to be a full, solid fence. We just have to prove that we WILL shoot them if they are caught in the area between the fences.

Exactly. Use the military.

40,000 guard towers at a conservative cost estimate of $50k each add another two billion dollars to the budget. Staffing each of them with three guards to cover a 24 hour shift, at $50k/yr, would add another six billion in cost every year.

Prisons leave the lights on at night, because a fence isn't much good when it's too dark to see the people cutting through it. And there isn't enough electricity in the southwest to light up 5,000 miles of border every night.

The fence idea is just never going to happen. There will probably be drone patrols in the future, as drones become better and cheaper, but they are never going to be 100% effective.

Maybe they could create a student loan debt forgiveness program. Live in camps to build the fence, get paid minimum wage (for however long it takes) and the student loans are forgiven.

No way is he getting elected without a bulk of the minority vote (especially Latinos). And polls show huge numbers of Latinos and large numbers of GOP voters will never consider voting for Trump.

Of course he might still lose. But he's doing what he believes in. Too many politicians today try to be "all things to all people" or "all things to most people" I should say. They end up trying to court so many different types of people and special interest groups that they end up with ZERO focus. Being TOO moderate is actually bad because you end up compromising on nearly everything and accomplishing little.

There are Republicans who try to live by polls and please everybody. They are called Rinos lol.

I agree, if Trump stays the course he will be President. Trump has always been a role model of mine in terms of the business world, I honestly thought his presidential run was just for "show" but I'm starting to take him seriously now.

Man I hope Trump wins, I would like to see a VP Marco Rubio as Rubio is the future of the Republican Party. Trump stays in for 2 terms with Rubio as VP, will set Rubio up great to be the next President after Trump leaves.

I just hope to God Hillary or Sanders or ANYBODY from the Democratic side doesn't get in. This country is going to go totally Center Left and we will be done if that happens man.
