The longest books I ever read were:

War and Peace 1,440 pages.

a modern translation of the Bible which was about 1200 pages.

Gone with the Wind 1,037 pages

Bill Clinton's Autobiography My Life 1,008 pages

and a biography on Eleanor Roosevelt that was about 900 pages.

I read the 5 current books of Game of Thrones earlier this year. All 5 equal around 5000-6000 pages I believe.

When I was in 4th grade, my book report was on The Shining. I creeped out the teacher, and gave the other little kids nightmares.

I've read almost all of the Bible. But honestly, it gets a little boring towards the end of the Old Testament, and I skimmed over those parts.

I'm surprised no one has said The Brothers Karamazov. I know it's a classic, but I tried it once a long time ago and just couldn't get into it.

The Prince is only like 150 pages, if that.

I did too, but it took me over a year. Martin is a ponderous writer. Books 1 and 3 were awesome, but the rest, especially book 5, dragged ON and on....like enough already with the hundreds of useless names and characters. Advance the fvcking plot.

In my chump days I was trying to get a woman who had written this crappy book. Read it and fawned all over it and her with the compliments because she was extremely hot, total, utter POS book. No idea how many pages it was, but whenever I get arrogant tendencies, especially about women, I remind myself of that. That's a truly long book.

The second Jurassic Park was enormously different from the movie, because they had changed too much in the first movie. The Bourne Identity books are the same way, book is ten times better but since they changed so much in the first movie the second and third movies dont follow the books at all. IMHO the books written after the original author died are garbage.
