Hanging leg raise
Knee-tucks with a cable attached to your ankles
Hanging leg raise with a band attached to your feet
Leg raises on a decline board

Basically any type of leg raise will hit the lower abs.

Why didn't I think of attaching weights to my leg? Genius!

Legraises do nothing for your abs even though you might feel it in the aerea. Legraises are actualy a hip flexor exercise. Abs are actually built for stabilisation, meaning to prevent movement, and the obuliques are built also for either twisting or stabilizing.

We can also look to nature. The way we build our muscles is by mimiking natural movements and using weight to overload them. Picking up stuff, pushing away things, standing up etc. There is not a single natural movement that mimics the crunch or sit-up for the abs. Stabilization and preventing twisting of the spine (not moving) however. That is where we see the abs in action! Lets say you do a squat or a deadlift. You need strong abs to withstand movment of the spine.

So basicly keep your midsection stiff while doing ab-exercises. Here is good article http://www.tmuscle.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/best_of_abs

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
